I just got back, and I'm very glad that I went.
Yes, Liza is frail, but it's still LIZA!
She sang "Our Love Is Here to Stay," which thrilled me!

She was quick with a sarcastic, “oh this is great!” when a video clip was delayed, LOL. God, love this woman. Glad I went as well. Nothing but sweetness and love coming from her. She seemed to have a good time and the audience had all the love to give. They had professional cameras setup, but also dozens of people recording the entire thing on their phones.
Michael isn’t a good moderator for this…which is weird, all things considering. It almost felt like he hadn’t figured out what questions to ask or how, despite mentioning that they went over these topics backstage.
The night started about thirty minutes late. The less mentioned about the finale the better. Some really touching moments - but I’m biased as this was my first time ever seeing her in person. From my view it seemed like 90% full? Whether actually “sold” out or not, I don’t think it really matters.

I was standing on the sidewalk when they were doing their best to get Liza in her car. It was heartbreaking.
When she finally got settled in the backseat, she looked at me. I waved and blew her a kiss. She smiled and did the same back.
I teared up.

Happy to hear these reports, I was worried that she was being wheeled out and kinda used and abused.

I was hoping they had managed an alternate way of her getting out unseen. I walked by what seemed like an exit and noticed a wheelchair ramp, have no idea if it was for her - but I had seen everything I needed so didn’t opt for a stage door.

Sorry to double post, but I almost forgot - she said “I got my balls from my mother” and that will stay with me forever.

Absolutely, Giants!
I will never forget her saying that.
Also, the rewritten ending to "Fly Me to the Moon."

One of the unexpected benefits of going to one of the few book events she's doing is it's the only way to be absolutely certain you're not listening to AI.

Actually, Jonathan, AI made an appearance: excerpts from the audio book were played at tonight's event.

An event like this would not really be for me, but there's something really beautiful about the relationship between Liza and her fans. Nmartin's story is kinda heartbreaking.

Unnecessarily cruel writing.

I agree that the write up is cruel, but I also feel like a lot of what the people around her right now are doing to her is cruel. Making her do these live events are especially cruel when you're surrounding her in clips of her in her prime, and an audiobook you created with AI because she doesn't have the ability do any of that anymore. They and the book publisher should be ashamed.

What's cruel? We can all see it. The piece didn't insult her, and everyone knows this is a person of advanced age who has been through a lot. Nothing seemed mean-sprited. There often seems to be an emperor's new clothes effect with Liza.

Individuals with a disability or in decline do not need to be hidden, unless that is their wish. If Liza wants to be out and about then god bless her. She has love to give and so do her fans.
After this appearance thought it is abundantly clear she did not record the audiobook and she did not sign thousands of books so perfectly. The signed option should not have been offered since they are most likely autopen.
