Posted: 9/12/06 at 10:30pmHow was the house tonight? Anyone know? I looked at the grosses for the week and 8 shows did worse than WS. Last week sales had gone up. I'm not sure what to make of it, yet. All I know is the place was full when I saw it.

On the grosses again...
I wonder, are the grosses always down on the week of Broadway on Broadway? Perhaps people wait around for the "free sample" and then select a show to see the next week? Anyone know the history enough to answer this?? Just musing...

Posted: 9/12/06 at 11:14pmI don't think it has anything to do with Broadway on Broadway. It was a tough time for the city. Summer is over and everyone isn't on vacation anymore. Plus the 5th anniversary of 9/11 was on Monday and that tends to slow things down right before which was this past weekend because people get nervous. It's not a good time for Broadway in general and a even worse time for shows like The Wedding Singer that weren't doing too well before that. Time will tell.

Posted: 9/12/06 at 11:42pmSo is Lynch still on vacation, or was he just randomly out? Anyone know which one's doing it tomorrow?

Posted: 9/12/06 at 11:44pmI thought Lynch was supposed to be back last night, as his vacation went through 9/10. ...Hey! Yeah, um, no person. What's up with Lynch being out tonight? LOL

Posted: 9/13/06 at 11:08amConstantine is performing at the Viper Room in Los Angeles on September 19. The show was booked prior to his getting in WS and he is honoring a prior commitment. He also has a performance in Dallas September 30 and October 1 from what I was able to gather too.

Posted: 9/13/06 at 5:11pmLaura IS coming back relatively soon. She is getting better. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say the exact date (and better to be safe than sorry), but it won't be that much longer.
I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride.
I love you because I know no other way than this.
I believe in fate
But it's up to us to follow through

seriously? soon? ok... that um... kind of makes my whole night quite a bit better... because, its kind of a long story, but i was going to be going to see it this weekend... and now that trip is in major jeapordy over something completely out of my control. But... if laura's coming back soon,I'm thiinking it might just be better to wait anyway :) however, the major problem is, I really dont know that I'll have anyone to go WITH if I dont go over the weekend. So I'll be REALLY really upset it my friends go this weekend and I cant go and then I cant go at ALL.
sorry, had to vent. Im done now, I promise!

Aw, I missed Laura! I have a question.
As we all know, the ensemble for the show is...spectacular. They are all so freaking talented, why the hell can't they get leads?! Especially Cara Cooper. What's with her keep getting cast as an understudy?
re: Love is what we do! - THE WEDDING SINGER appreciation thread.#1899
Posted: 9/13/06 at 7:05pmSomeone's obviously not hearing/seeing Cara properly when she auditions for stuff. That's the only logical explanation I can think of.
