The comments on it were a mix of positive and negative. There was actually a "........." comment on it from Chad Burris (who will now be costarring with her as Damian) as it seems they knew each other previously."
I am a messy bench who loves drama.

Well played after the Cameron Dallas disaster. Now, who will play Cady in the gap between erika leaving and sabrina taking over? Olivia and Becca?

For those interested in seeing Sabrina, note her performance schedule on the Mean Girls website:
"From March 10 – March 31, Sabrina Carpenter is scheduled to perform at all evening performances, but will not be performing at the 2pm matinee performances on Wednesdays or Saturdays.
From April 1 – June 7, Sabrina Carpenter is scheduled to perform at seven performances per week. She will not be performing in 2pm matinee performances on Wednesdays, or 6:30pm evening performances on Sundays."

That makes sense as to why Tee is coming back considering their current Cady standby is taking over for Janis

This is definitely stunt casting, but is Sabrina really that big a name to be able to demand doing 6 and 7 performances a week? Cady is no Evan Hansen, Elphaba, or Evita in terms of vocal drain, nor is it emotionally draining as Evan Hansen or Diana Goodman.

I wouldn't say so, but I guess the production team figured she would be worth it.

I would see this show again to see Sabrina Carpenter. I think she will do well in this.

I'm guessing they will be sharing the role since Olivia already knows Janis and she is the current Cady standby so she won't need rehearsals. I saw Becca twice and hope to see Olivia go on when I go March 1st and March 8th.

Is there no longer a third Cady cover? In the original cast the Cady covers were Tee, Jonalyn and Becca.

There's no longer a third cover. They never replaced Jonalyn's understudy slot when she departed the cast and Becca took her track (but was already a Cady understudy).

The Daily Dot jumped on it and wrote an article about the Laura Leigh situation....

Not saying she should be fired, but the theater community is known as a really open minded and liberal community. It shouldn't surprise anyone about outrage of her stance.
Her views are the complete opposite of mine, so I'm not going to pretend that I'm not at all biased.
You really can't expect broadway love it, especially considering the past 3 years (Frozen trump flag, Pence at hamilton, etc.)

Again, you cannot fire someone for their religious beliefs, this is America.
Looks like they filmed a new commercial today with The Plastics, most likely because Kate is leaving. However it was with Jonalyn Saxer and not Laura Leigh Turner which is interesting.
That is interesting.

superiska123 said: "Could the reason for asking Jonalyn to do the commercial instead simply be that Laura's costume/wig wasn't ready in time?"
They were all wearing simple pink dresses that don’t appear in the show and it looked as if their real hair was styled. No wigs.
Plus they flew Jonalyn out from tour causing her to miss shows which is why I had questions about it.

I heard it was confirmed that Olivia will do all night shows and Becca will do the matinees. God bless Olivia for playing Cady for two weeks while rehearsing to take over full time as Janis.

Anyone know what will be Lily Kaufmanns role with the show will be?
sidenote: any relation to Olivia or is the last name just coincidence?
