I saw Jeremy in Bonnie & Clyde and I thought he was fantastic. Killer voice and he was very charismatic. Made you actually root for the bad guy. Added bonus, a complete sweetheart after the show.

"Oh I disagree. The song is fine, but the scene was horrendous I thought. If that were in a musical, I would be bored out of my mind. And the scenery is so strange."
I think the strange scenery was supposed to be the mental institution where Marilyn's mother lived. Terrific song.

I think Ana's character is The Diva, as in THE archetypal Diva. She isn't the diva that Karen's character becomes, she is a symbol.
As was previously mentioned, it seems to be a reference/homage to Arachne in Spider-Man. Boy, Hit List is really just a collage of elements from postmodern and Impressionist musicals thrown together, isn't it? The plot of Hedwig, a Spider-Man like character, aerial work and "physical theatre" choreography from American Idiot, and songs that establish mood and tone, not plot and character, as pioneered by Spring Awakening (sure, Lady In The Dark did that much earlier, but that was different).
On a serious note, I agree with Ivy and what she said in that last scene was not crazy or uncalled for. Her mother generally seemed to think she was doing what was best, but of course it was through deprecating measures.
I just started the episode and have rewound the scene with Messing reading her email to Borle three times. She is wearing different glasses in different cuts of the dialogue! It's brief, but this must have filmed twice with her wearing different glasses each take. How weird and sloppy.
