Me too! She's so fabulous. And deserves a chance to lead a role on Broadway beyond the age of 15 lol.

The West End Production recently announced their 2025-2026 cast and included Elphaba Alternate (Laura Emmitt). I hope Broadway and the National Tour also include an Alternate in their next cast announcements.

I tried attaching the photos but they wont show Ginna Claire posted that she has been covering Newberry for the week and then posted a series of photos of her rehearsing and "first time back in the bubble in 3yrs"https://www.instagram.com/stories/ginnaclaire/3549193658706106900/?hl=en
i'm surprised Understudies.org doesn't have someone report on the u/s & swings for Wicked. there's never anyone listed on their site as going on. even a swing here & there.

Wicked is notorious for cracking down on cast members reporting on when they're out. I'm actually surprised that Mary Kate Morrissey announced her vacation on social media.

How do you know this? Aren't there measures in place that prevent people from telling that they're going into a show beforehand? Is this a violation of some sort of NDA? Or does Broadway not care about these things

New here, huh?
Kebede and Trimm both confirmed via WICKED's socials. They begin March 4.

When was the last time they hired a brand new Elphaba? Any recent ones have come from the tour, were a standby or from the West End or Europe.

Lindsay Heather Pearce and Hannah Corneau were both brand new to Wicked when they debuted as Elphaba in the Broadway production.
Williams just confirmed as Morrible.
Also starting March 4 are Jenna Bainbridge as Nessarose and Danny Quadrino as Boq.
I have been manifesting Jenna as Nessarose ever since I saw her in Suffs this past fall! So thrilled for her! (Even if it should not have taken this long to cast an authentic wheelchair user...)
I haven't seen Wicked since 2012 and this new cast is STACKED and historic so I'm hoping to make a return trip!
I find this casting of Nessarose very interesting…Does Jenna Bainbridge have enough mobility to stand for her last couple of scenes? Or will they be using some kind of technology? Wasn’t the whole reason for not casting an actual wheelchair user for twenty years because Nessarose magically walks before her demise?
EDIT: According to her website bio, she is able to walk a bit.
My biggest concern for Jenna isn’t if she’ll be able to do Nessa’s onstage track, but the backstage track. There are lots of stairs at the Gershwin and the stage deck is on rake. So, I’m curious what they’ll be changing backstage to accommodate her. I believe the Nessarose shares a dressing room with the Glinda and Elphaba standbys. I could see them swapping the Morrible and Nessarose dressing rooms so Jenna has a space closer to the stage.
I’m sure they have everything covered before hiring her. The Gershwin also has elevators everywhere. I’m sure she will be ok. I’m excited for the changes it’s starting to look and feel like Chicago

Anyone there tonight? Would love to hear reports on Lencia, Jenna, and NaTasha.
First bows for the new cast! Looks like they’ve added braids for Elphaba with Lencias wig!
A nice interview with Jenna from Vulture about her experience in getting cast as Nessa and being the first wheelchair user Nessa on stage:

I’d really to love to know what they’ve done to make the backstage / theatre more accessible for her.
Surprise to no one, Lencia sounds fantastic in both her Defying Gravity and No Good Deed.
