For those who have already seen Noah, would you think that Michael Lee Brown would give a better performance given that he's had a lot more time in the part than Noah this week?
I have some family in town who are trying to decide which lead actor to see.

Well, as tickets sales go, I'd probably grab whatever you could since tickets are either hard to come by or still expensive.
Galvin played Jared in multiple early readings of the show.
It must be a trippy experience to be back inside a show he helped develop in the lead role, especially with the show having gone on to become such a huge success.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

There are always ways to get tickets to attend with either lead performing ... I am just trying to get some feedback before deciding which to purchase.

I would go with MLB if this is their only time seeing the show, as Noah will probably still be getting his sea legs, per se, for the rest of the week? I remember MLB was getting similar reviews to the one in this thread, and then worked up to being as good as he is now. Evan seems to be a very trial and error role.
Also apologies to everyone in this thread for responding to Margo's comments; I should've known better than to take the bait lol Hopefully we get some more on-topic comments in this thread. I would love to hear more about Galvin's performance!
Methinks this might be a thread that might develop over time since only 1,100 (ish) folks have seen him perform the role. Im also hoping some news sources might re-review the show now that Ben has moved on. (His twitter post indicates he saw A Band's Visit last night. (Someone might start another Ben Platt thread "Ben Platt's theater reviews! Ya gotta laugh!)
To seek revenge may lead to hell yet everyone does it but seldom as well......

I agree. Having only seen Ben, I would think MLB would be the safer bet for reasons stated above.
Lastly, I’ll say that we have all committed wrongs. All of us. This does seem to have been time-limited period. Was it wrong? Yes. Has an apology been made? Yes. Do we have a right to be more offended than the victim (who as far as I’m aware hasn’t spoken out again since the incident) of the behavior? I’d say no. Does that mean we can still choose to not see a show with a particular actor? Sure (see Phantom as an example of people choosing not to see a show due to an actor - a sex offender - in a pivotal role). Does that give us the moral high ground? I’d say probably not. Lastly, if we barred all imperfect actors from performing in shows, the marquees of all those beautiful Broadway theaters would remain permanently dimmed. Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey and their ilk likely don’t belong in the same category as Noah Galvin.
Actually alot of people are boycotting the show due to Noah. Watch as the data pours in how the capacity will not be maxed out anymore. Am I the only one extremely excited to see Taylors run in this show? He was really good in Hello Dolly when I saw it, so I'd imagine that he'd be even better in this show.
Nobody is actively boycotting it. Only the crazy twitter fans, who probably don’t have tickets. The show will still play to packed houses through Noah’s run.
Maybe it was a situational thing but I thought Noah's voice was a bit softer than Ben's voice. It seemed softer. I was a bit disappointed. But performing in Herald Square isn't like the Music Box.

I think that everyone in the cast but Noah did great during the Macys' performance. Even at the end of the song he just didn't sound as vibrant and energetic as Ben.

RippedMan, did you see that this post is part of Jesse Tyler Ferguson's dramatic reading on Instagram? I'm jealous!

You're jealous? I'm pretty sure he's not doing it to celebrate the posters here and their dedication to theater but to mock and make fun of people here who he thinks go on and on and on about silly topics. But hey, they say any publicity is good publicity, right?

I find his Broadwayworld chat board reading series extremely untasteful and disrespectful. They are not even borderline funny and dismiss valid points and real discussions. I have no idea why he feels it would be a good idea to make fun of people who actually have something to say and share.
Oh my GOD he quoted my BWW post RE: Bernadette Peters and Marin Mazzie crying. So flattered!!
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000
