I mean, as was discussed above, I think people knew it was just going to be a teaser. With the better part of a year to go, that's what you always get first for big movies.

Even for a teaser it's pretty lame.

Well, it was much better than Cinderella's teaser. The castle is magnificent. I was really hoping to see Emma completely, but they gave us a good teaser for Emma. She already looks perfect! Cogsworth/Ian's voice is great, but Lumiere/Ewan's is pretty bad so far. Can't wait for Moana's, later on this week.

I'm still not over the fact they didn't use any Broadway songs. Like come on. I already imagined how "Home"
and "A Change In Me" would be filmed in my head.

I agree. I so wanted Home to be in this.

 

But I'm still wildly excited for it. Menken did write some new tunes so we will be getting an expanded song list than the original.

I could not agree more. there is no glimmer of any of the characters (e.g Gaston, Beast, etc...) except for Emma and Ewan McGregor's french accent is awful. got a good feeling about Ian McKellan though.

The opening orchestra theme to this is one of my favorites of all time. Great teaser, I can't wait!

I agree with the above, it was more a frustrater than a teaser. At least the music sounded nice. But that was literally as little as they could do without it being nothing. Grahhh. Ewan's voice sounded fine to me!

the more i watch the teaser trailer now, the more i am getting used to it.

it states that another surprise is coming our way in the next week regarding the film. hope it is photos of the rest of the cast or maybe another video clip.

It's an ok commercial. I'm someone else who's not over them not using the songs from the show. Why write new music when you already have great songs right there just waiting to be heard?

oh well there we are then. maybe not. hope we get to see some more stuff in the next couple of weeks anyway.

i love the way they have created the castle interiors. it looks unbelievable.

This is what a teaser is supposed to be. It's just enough to make you want more, and very little is revealed. I hate how so many trailers give damn near the whole movie away these days. I'm happy with this.

Agreed.  This is making a lot of fans want to see and hear more, which means it has done its job.

I'm sure this was just a voice over for the trailer or an outtake of that particular scene.  Most teaser/early trailers have footage and voice overs that were either specifically shot for a trailer or have ended up being an outtake from whatever is used in the final product.

Seems like they are following the same publicity strategy Cinderella had, which means we probably will not see anything again until November,

Why does Lumiere need to have a French accent? Aren't they all French (with the possible exception of Cogsworth)?

I was excited about this until I read the comments they are writing new music.  I guess I will hold out hope the music is better but I can't imagine how.  Home is great.  I also love a Change in me.
