Much more excited for her than for Crystal. Disappointed to hear she has such a minor part."
Oh, drat. Hope they beef her role up for Broadway.

The wrinkles, but also the hair. (Billy has had some weird hair this decade. I don't know if it's dyed or plugged or weirdly styled to cover up thinness)
And the fact that the 4 people are all obviously photoshopped together despite just spending weeks together working on the show.
The mezz pricing makes zero sense. If the front mezz was more and the back mezz was less, it would not only let more people afford to see the show, but the pricing would average out to the price they want. Just so silly.
As discussed earlier in the thread...this pricing is likely only for the presale and prices will become slightly more "normal" unless demand is Bette-level.
What makes me laugh is the kids on TikTok who know Billy Crystal (maybe?) as the guy from Monsters Inc. that are going on about the $199 last row mezzanine tickets like Bernie Sanders talking about Wall Street.
Like others have said, I surely wouldn't pay $199 for rear mezz, but I also am willing to wait for those discount codes.

Kids on TikTok are not the target demo for this or any Broadway show. But the people from the Upper East Side and Long Island and Jersey will no doubt be willing to pay $199 for Billy Crystal.

Exactly. While I, personally, am by no means the target audience for this show, there is no doubt in my mind that there is an audience out there for this. Billy Crystal will be a huge draw.

How very specific. Rich people live all over NYC in nearly every neighborhood, just an fyi.

I'd expect kids on TikTok to care more about the blackface. Are they really complaining? Since they apparently find offense in Caroline, or Change, I've decided I can't deal with the youths this week.
I cannot really understand who the audience for this show will be, considering what a bomb the film was. Why would anyone want to pay six times the amount of a movie ticket to see a live version of a movie that no one went to see when it came out sooo long ago?...

The audience for ''Mr. Saturday Night'' will be the fans of Billy Crystal, and their number is sizable. When Crystal did ''700 Sundays,'' his one-man Broadway show in 2004-05, it ran for almost 200 performances. He then brought it back for a return run in 2013 and taped it for HBO and it became an Emmy-nominated special.
I doubt many will recall or care that ''Mr. Saturday Night'' was a film flop at the box office. The draw of this new musical is to see Crystal, live and in person. And one can't underestimate the draw of live theater. Why do audiences still buy tickets to ''Chicago'' on Broadway when they could buy the DVD of the Oscar-winning movie? Why are folks still paying top-dollar for ''Hamilton'' when they could stay at home and watch the filmed version, with the original cast, on Disney Plus?
Just saw the Playbill job posting for the Broadway production. Each role is cast for Broadway, but Susan the daughter. Looks like Alysha Umphress is not continuing with the production.
I got Center Mezzanine C 102, which is one seat off the aisle for the afternoon of Saturday, March 19th. It was $199, as others stated. Still better than the Orchestra, which was going for about $399. I was trying to get C101, but Ticketmaster was having a hard time recognizing my device for some reason, even though it let me sign in. By the time it would let me buy a ticket through Audience Rewards, 101 was gone, so I took 102.
I'm a tall person, so I'm a bit nervous about the leg room up there. I've never sat in the Mezzanine at the Nederlander before. So, hoping it will be a good seat. I know the view will be good, just nervous about the leg room.
TaffyDavenport said: "I'm guessing those prices are just for the Amex presale. Having every mezzanine seat priced at $199 is really odd, so I'm hoping for more tiered/reasonable pricing later."
General onsale has started, and prices are still the same. $199 for every seat in the mezzanine, with most of the orchestra at $349 ($199 for far sides).
