I get what you're saying Rentaholic. The first thing that comes to mind is the Vegas version and the horrible Conner tour that show Phantom actually killing Buquet rather than just dropping a body double.
It's kind of interesting to me that the masquerade website only cites Really Useful Group and not Cameron McIntosh at all. Does he not maintain an interest in subsequent revivals?

It's just the copyright. Mackintosh doesn't own the copyright to Phantom.
"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."
This is fascinating does this mean that an audience is going to be up and walking throughout the performance from space to space? I can't imagine that they can have a large audience if that's the case
This is incredible. Four floors of Phantom magic. Very cool. I always thought this show could be transformed into a Sleep No More kind of deal. Given the success of the new Cats and Sunset Boulevard, I think this could be very cool and quite successful. Looking forward to April.
I am curious how akin to Sleep No More this will actually be. Given the score is presented in a linear fashion, I’m interested to see if they’ll pad out the side characters with non-musical material to allow for a true promenade performance; or if the experience will be less “choose your own adventure” than SNM or Life and Trust, and more guided - a la Then She Fell or Ghost Light.
I'm really curious how the score will be performed. Will it be the same actors sitting in the same room singing the same song several times a night? Will it be the entire score? Maybe the 90 minute Vegas version? I can't imagine standing there waiting for a song to be over multiple times a night.

Based on the number of "Performance Space" indications in the floor plans, it certainly appears that this will be a progressive experience from room to room and floor to floor (and even roof).
I hope Mackintosh is not involved at all.

Its almost like these are individuals putting up productions and not just a super computer that decides it's "time" for Dreamgirls. What are you doing on the daily to convince investors to pick up Dreamgirls?

It really is such a shame it only ran on Broadway for two months and became a legendary flop that very few people actually got to see. :(

I… really think that if a show has an outdoor component, then inclement weather has been likely accounted for.
