I LOVE JULIA! This is superb casting, really can't wait to watch her theatre career over the next few years (especially after her HSM tv series obligations are done, she will blossom!).
Not sure why people are being a bit mean about Santino. The OG cast members who sat behind me were talking about how he was out because of COVID. I make a point to see every show he's in, and I've never seen an understudy on for him till Goodbye Girl. If he could have helped it, I'm sure he would have been there.

And with a positive Covid result, the decision whether to perform is out of his hands entirely. Its an insane criticism that speaks more about the critic than Fontana
Went in at noon and had my tix by 12:05. No Saturday matinees for the first few weeks. Also take note that masking is mandatory for a few specific performances (noted on their site), and suggested for others. Agree that this is a wonderful cast - very much looking forward to it!
Is this something that is expected to sell out? I'm trying to decide if getting a membership to get tickets now is worth it, or if it's something that I could easily rush in the fall. I'm not familiar with how popular CSC shows are.
I'm a member and this is decently sold in October and November. If you don't have a specific date in mind or a seating preference, you should be fine until the public sale on the 25th.
Thank you for the info Sutton! I do have a specific date/time constraint, so maybe the membership is worth it. The discount on the ticket almost makes it a wash anyways, so it'll be good for peace of mind.

Barbra has never been to Funny Girl, but I know she did send letters to Beanie, Lea, and Ramin upon their openings. Not sure about anyone else."
IN all fairness, Barbra has not really been seen out in public since the pandemic began. No events, no charitable gatherings, no restaurants, no Awards show, no post-Awards parties, etc. It was common to see coverage at such places pre-pandemic. (There was speculation on whether she would be attending King Charles III coronation a few months ago, but she didn't).
Her birthdays (including her 80th last year and her 81st this year) have been celebrated at her home with small gatherings of invited guests (from what her husband has said, and what has been posted to her social media); her much celebrated 'Ruth Ginsberg Award' ceremony was celebrated in her home (rather than a public event space) ; and media interviews which she did in the past two years have been done in her home. It will be interesting to see in the Fall what kind of publicity she will do for her memoir (scheduled for November 7). Will she leave her house, or do 'all interviews in her home, once again ?

Assassins was a very hot ticket, even in presale, and, with the vast majority of performances (if not all) sold out by showtime, it's not a good comparison. A Man of No Importance is a better one.

You're very welcome, I went to Assassins twice and I purchased them along with the rest of the public with absolutely no problem. There are still good seats for most performances for Wholesale, so you're all good, it runs about two hours according to the person at the box office.
