Not sure how much was nerves and how much was the recent strain, but that was definitely not as good as what I heard when I saw the show.

As is PatrickVaccariello, tonight's conductor for the Tonys (also doing double duty as the MD for MUSIC MAN). You can always tell when he's conducting because there aren't many leftie conductors in working on Broadway!"
Hugh Jackman is a southpaw too.

What an electrifying performance. Jaquel sounds amazing, looks great, and the Thoughts all looked FIERCE.

Did Strange Loop sell any tickets? Not sure. Just doesn't seem it sells to the general public.

It's an unconventional show. It is hard to promote out of context.

As someone who was excited to see ASL, that performance did not sell me. Back vocals, hard to hear lyrics, not great melodies, or interesting staging.

A Strange Loop is so much greater as a whole than as the sum of its parts.

I still am unsure exactly what ASL’s story is.

As someone who still hasn't seen ASL, I enjoyed that. This SA performance was nice to see too.

Crying so much. This “Spring Awakening” performance was all I needed tonight.

I mean, to be honest, it’s the best performance of the night so far.

Crazy that before Tony night 15 years ago, no one knew the then kids of Spring Awakening. Look at them now! Is it too early to ask for another Spring Awakening revival?

Is it bad that the Spring Awakening performance was by far the best thing of the night so far?

Tony tickets were $750 the day they went on sale. For the second balcony! That’s outrageous. They priced the way too high and it’s offensive.
That Sondheim tribute was … sad.
Jackman is a pal of both Ivanka and Jared. I’m not entirely convinced he’s a leftie.

The Spring Awakening performance was the best of the night.

Jordan, is it hard to be such a fan of a show so indelibly linked to an actress you despise?

When the second group came in at the half of the SA number, I thought they were bringing the revival cast and nearly lost it. Would have been a nice touch.

I feel shallow saying this... but John Gallagher Jr. hasn't looked this hot in a long time. Including in the recent documentary. It's like he's been trying to hide his hotness for the past decade or so.

I must have been the only person who didn't like Lehman Trilogy. I thought it was okay but it didn't blow me away.
