My partner, who is not a theatre person at all, has summed up tonight’s Tony’s so far - “why is everything so boring and weird?” Can’t disagree. If you are not someone who is emotionally invested in Broadway, this evening has done nothing to draw people in.

Oh, people have asked me this so many times over the years. When it comes to this show, I’m able to just block everything else out and love it. It’s easier to describe if I go into detail but that’s over drinks one day. :)

I'd absolutely love to be there when it happens.
Didn't you soften a bit on Lea when you watched the documetary?

That's borderline a fire hazard the amount of people The Lehman Triology had come on stage. Absurd.

As someone who honestly hated the original production of Spring Awakening, I actually really enjoyed that performance and it was definitely one of the best so far (Lea Michele excepted).

I was just going to say the same thing ! It's one of the worst Tony shows I've seen in a very long time. And just 'off' - like they're all not on the same radio frequency.
And if this is one way to lure the public back to the box offices to buy tickets - I think it's a flop.

Lehman Trilogy is now the 4th London Import in a row to win Best Play! Do we think Prima Facie will be the 5th next year?

I understood her more. That’s not to say I approve of her behavior or the reasoning behind it, but I understood certain situations I was in, in a way I never did before. I don’t really know how else to describe it without going into specific detail

The saddest part was missing on a true Angela Lansbury tribute, are we really erasing history this way?

Hot take: keep the Tony's at the Beacon Theatre and have performances from the shows actual theaters...

Andrew Garfield is the best dressed and best looking man on stage tonight. Maybe they can get him to take Jackman's place in "Music Man" next fall ? I'd buy a ticket !

Joaquina's voice was shaky, but she brought the goods, and did exactly what she needed to do.

I’m so sorry to be voice of dissent here but she did not sound good at all.

Ok, so repeating “Let It Burn” is now considered a great song. I prefer some great lyrics over vocal gymnastics. This song will shred vocalists. Who writes this stuff? We need some great lyricists.
