Forgive my ignorance, but is there a reason they can't announce presenters? I suppose that's part of a script?

Yes, an announcer would be reading words from a script.

I love them showing clips of the nominated performances, like the Oscars. They should keep that going forward.

Are unscripted awards shows actually a good thing?

Well Philipa looks nice in that dress. I still think Camelot was my biggest theater disappointment of the season.

I agree with everyone on the video clips. It really helps give a little taste of what the actor's performance is like and the show is about.

Yeah, it was weird because the kiss was unnecessary at that moment. The performance was over then they had this long passionate kiss!

I appreciate that presenters are just coming out and presenting the awards instead of trying to (badly) improv. I’m really liking the pacing of this show tonight.
