Sound design is interesting because it's only voted on by people who are knowledgeable in the field. I wonder if it's just because voters got preferential seats. I definitely thought it was gonna be NYNY or & Juliet. I also had A Doll's House for play but not as surprised for Life of Pi getting it

Pretty upset that & Juliet didn't win Sound Design of a Musical. For a show as loud and explosive as that, it could sound completely incomprehensible in the hands of a lesser sound designer. Instead, it sounds shockingly crisp and clear. Happy for Sweeney but disappointed that & Juliet didn't get recognition where it was very clearly due.

This host is so boring.  She was bad last year. I’m surprised they had her back. I think Rosie was far more interesting. Nathan lane would have been far better especially with the improv

New York, New York came across like a cruise ship production.

With that being said, the energy in the room is high and seems like we're in for a fun night!

It was inhibited by the smaller stage. It would have played better at Radio City,

Solid opening number sans any lyrics. NEW YORK, NEW YORK did their cookie cutter performance but it should sell some tickets.

Loved that opening. Already liking Ariana 100x more than last year. That NYNY performance, not so much…
