The play I first saw was "Stones In His Pockets" in London around 2000. I loved it.

Do you remember what the first play you went to was?

but my first one on broadway was The Pillowman which was one of my favorite nights ever in the theater.

FLAHOOLEY with Barbara Cook(1951), at the Philadelphia pre- Broadway try-out. I was 10 years old so I missed the political overtones to the libretto, but I enjoyed the score and the Bill Baird Marionettes.

The first play I ever saw live was probably OUR TOWN or A DOLL'S HOUSE. I have absolutely no idea, it was so long ago.

My first show on Broadway, though, was TOMMY.

The first straight play I saw on Broadway was the HAMLET revival with Ralph Fiennes in 1995.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

I can't seem to recall what my first musical or play was (outside of Broadway) 'cause that's going back almost 2 decades. I can, however, remember my first Broadway musical in 1776, I was 10 yrs. old. My first straight play was TALK RAD!O starring Liev Schreieber (this past March, actually).

I have never seen a straight play on Broadway, but my first musical was Beauty and the Beast when I was 6. I loved it so much that my first grade teacher let me put on a production of it with my class that I directed and wrote (with my teacher's help) and starred as the Beast.

Wow... I honestly don't remember. I've been taken to things since I was little. Probably Godspell since my dad used to be a youth minister, and I usually went along with him and mom on youth stuff.

But on Broadway...

Play: The Vertical Hour
Musical: A Chorus Line (during its first run)

The first show I saw was a middle school production of The Sound of Music. The first professional shows I saw were a bus and truck production of Funny Girl starring Evalyn Baron and the Melody Top production of Carnival with Jean Pierre Aumont and Marisa Pavan.

The first Broadway show I saw was Crazy for You. The last Broadway show I saw was Grey Gardens, and next week I'm seeing Mamma Mia for the fifth time. I've made up for all those years with LOTS of theatre.

Christmas Carol when I was 6-7ish. First musical was at some crappy community theater that I can't remember the show. I just have bad memories of dancing and singing.
