That Kennedy Center production was one of my favorite things of all last year - i really hope it’s that cast that’s doing it here.

If it's a Broadway revival, it needs a few names. Otherwise, New World Stages is perfect for this

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Hearing "The Play That Goes Wrong" will close in August to make room for this.

I doubt that will happen.

Agreed. The cast and production were outstanding! Between this and Schmigadoon, I'm definitely feeling the 'loss' of the Kennedy Center.

I have also heard New World Stages for this.

Doesn't belong on BWAY - NWS is a better place for it.

I am thinking it could go into either Stage 1 or 3 since both upcoming shows are only selling tickets through September. But I am sure they have decided. One ends a few weeks earlier than the other. But whichever stage it goes into, it appears it is not going into Stage 4.

Edited!  Gazillion Bubble is in stage 2!

This makes more sense.   Stage 1 (Heathers) is 499 seats.   Stage 4 (Play that goes Wrong) is smaller with only 350 seats.   It could also go into Stage 3, the only other 499 seat house.  "Rolling Thunder" is set to run until Sept. 7th.

Perfect for both, honestly. Great, modern theater space.

Surprised this didn’t happen years ago. It really is a prime example of interactive/immersive theatre which some producers seem to think is the way of the future.

That said, I can’t see actors loving the pay rate long term while putting in the energy this show requires

Edited my comment. Gazillion Bubble is in Stage 2! I accidentally hit 2 instead of 3.

Just read that "Heathers" is going into Stage 1 for a Limited engagement so, yeah, it will probably go in there. I didn't know "Heathers" was a limited engagement.

The KC cast was excellent. For me, the highlight was Noah Galvin, who I wasn't sold on before seeing this production, and who brought such a fun and fresh take to a role that is often overplayed. Also thought Beanie was great, and same with Bonnie (as always). Also want to shout out Nina White, who was a heartbreaking and vocally powerful Olive. Actually realizing as I type this that I liked just about everyone. I would love to see it again in NY.

I'm inclined to believe that for this show, "limited engagement" is more of a marketing technique than a "real" thing.  LOTS of shows are "limited engagements" , then somehow they magically extend due to popular demand.

Oh yeah, we know that.

My first thought after seeing the casting was that they may be looking to do what they did with it in London and move it. It is coming back to a Shubert house and my first thought was that this would fit fine in one of their smaller Broadway houses like the James Earl Jones or the Booth. But we can speculate until we see what actually happens. JMO

New World Stages is PERFECT for Spelling Bee. Yes, it is surprising that the show didn't shuffle off there after its Broadway run like Avenue Q. I'll see it for sure. I love this show and it plays very well in a smaller space.
