I do think some of these girls do deserve some credit for being genuinley earnest and eager to learn and play the role, but some just make me gag. I really liked Cassie S. from the start (especially her little sassy hair move during the group dance call, hysterical) and only realized she in Hairspray once I saw the episode again. I'm rooting for her, then maybe I'll actually see Legally Blonde again!
I feel as if the world has gone all topsy turvy after watching Seth Rudetsky on the MTV video blog. Seth and MTV.......it's bizarre, but it makes me smile.
Did anyone see the previews for next week?
THE JUDGES ARE TRYING TO PUSH THE GIRLS TO THE LIMITS
Judge: Forget one of your lines
Nikki S: MUAHAHAHA.
these girls are going to start having mental breakdowns each week.. take a shot each time it happens for those playing the drinking game

When I watch this it is like taking a sharp stick and repeatlly stabbing myself in the eye with it.
I think they should cast Carey Anderson as Elle she would be perfect!!!

Man I love this show a nd I agree that So Much Better is one of the tougher songs to sing. I was cringing on some of those girls final notes tho.
I think one of my favorite parts is when one of the girls called Jerry Mitchell a "triple threat".
Darling, do you even know what that is?
when did they call Jerry a triple threat? people called Haylie a triple threat but I don't think they called Jerry such things.

Total lack of acting skills aside (gosh, could she BE any more whiny in Mamma Mia?! Thank goodness I saw the London production, or I always would have hated Sophie), Anderson can. Not. Dance. She was lagging behind in Mamma Mia, and that's not as dance-heavy as Blonde is.
And Seth deconstructing stuff on MTV is just too much crack...

I didn't see where anyone had posted this, but love the last line about a Xanadu reality show! And it is also a pretty darn accurate recap of events!
That review was funny. But I agree with pretty much everything that was said, especially the part about the judge. Where's Simon Cowell when you need him???
I can't wait to see what kind of posts pop up in broadwaysecret on Friday
does anyone know how the show did ratings-wise?
lol! A Xanadu reality show would be pretty sweet.
I would love to see Bailey win!
why cant kelly Pickler do the role? Or why wasnt Kate Rockwell elle instead of margot?

Kellie Pickler would be an awful Elle in my opinion...I would rather have any of the girls than her, and I don't like most of the girls. I personally think her voice is horrendous, and she couldn't handle 8 shows a week. She probably couldn't do the acting or dancing as well.
Kate Rockwell would be a great Elle though.
The show is complete crap!
These girls are not amatures, they are almost all professionals

Emma Zaks played Paulette and understudied Anne in the revival of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, which was choreographed by Jerry Mitchell. *the smoker*
Celina Caravajal most recently served as the second cover for Jenn Gambatese in TARZAN. She also understudied Kelli O'Hara in DRACULA, and has additionally appeared on Broadway as a replacement Annie in the 42ND STREET revival and as Demeter in CATS.
Autumn Hurlbert (who made it far in the audition process to replace Annaleigh Ashford as Margot last year) appeared on the First National Tour of LITTLE WOMEN as Beth March.
In addition to those few, several professional theater actresses were cut in the opening dance combination, including Tracy McDowell (a former Maureen on the RENT tour and swing in the Broadway company who also auditioned for Margot last year) and Amanda Flynn (who understudied Glinda in the original Los Angeles company of WICKED.)
Fiyero2, I don't mean to be snarky, but if you're going to copy another user's post verbatim, you may want to give them credit.

Although Emma Zaks was in the recent La Cage revival--it was also directed by her father. Interesting that Paul Canaan didn't remark on working with her in their awful excuse for "judges."
My thoughts are that all of you who are outraged and spewing bile are deep down really jealous and enraged that you are not getting the attention and exposure that these actresses are getting on this show.
oh gosh, i would kill to have simon on this show, it would be priceless. he would never do it though, and i don't know if i would blame him.
