He was great as a contestant on DANCING WITH THE STARS and in a small supporting role on FOX TV’s GREASE: Live!, but major motion picture caliber he most definitely is not.

...he actually seems like pretty spot-on and smart casting for Fiyero. It's a thankless role that doesn't require a ton of heavy lifting. He's got the pipes and he's got the charisma, that's really all you need.

That doesn't make sense at all. The 1st movie would really just feel like a really short prologue of what's already billed as a prologue to another very famous story. I doubt this is a serious consideration in minds of actual storytellers. Fiyero's character is so underwritten, I hope they cast someone who'll make me see the desirability a bit more.

I think he has a bigger fan base than this comment characterizes, but I also don’t necessarily think they’d need a huge name as Fiyero to sell the movie. Not with the brand recognition and Ariana and the likely casting of big stars in other roles. I think the bigger issue with the Jordan Fisher suggestion is that he is way more of a Boq than he is a Fiyero.

They don’t seem to have a problem with Cynthia looking like Ariana’s babysitter instead of her college roommate, so nothing should surprise us at this point.

I agree on Harry Styles.   And as long as they're casting people in their 30's in these roles - I wouldn't mind seeing Adam Lambert as Fiyero - he sounded fantastic on that Wicked TV special a few years back - and he actually played the role on the first tour of the show many, many years ago.  I could see him and Cynthia having chemistry - not sure why - but I think it would work.

I really want a black Fiyero with the blue tattoos like he was in the book. The Broadway show even had the blue tattoos in try-outs, at least that I read.

Jordan Fisher was previously mentioned, but he’d make a good Boq, as well… same with Harry Styles if they’re going that route, age-wise.
