Wonder if that could be for an investor presentation or en route to storage or just an old label on the crate? Almost impossible that a musical of this scale would be loading into a theatre before an announcement was made.
Are legit rumors of this playing the Imperial or Jacobs? (or coming to Bwy at all?)

The show is very explicitly saying in their ads that it is coming to Broadway, there just hasn’t been a timeline announced.
But yeah, seems impossible that they would be loading in without having had any official announcement.

Investor presentations generally do not happen at a Broadway theater but at a rehearsal space like Open Jar, New 42 etc. It would be too expensive to have it in a theater?

Correct. But just because it’s on the street in front of the Imperial and Jacobs doesn’t mean it’s necessarily going there.
Isn’t that in front of the St James?

YOU'RE RIGHT! Wrong side of the Shubert.
Which makes it even less probable that this is loading into a theatre.

Casting notice on Backstage just says “2024”.
Casting EPA is out

99.99% of the time this is just an old label that didn’t get ripped off the road case, probably in this case from the Alliance run. Many out of town tryouts use NYC shops.

What theater do they have?

My guess is the imperial or the broadhurst

The casting notice says they’re “Seeking” for pretty much every principal character.
Is this normal for these types of announcements? The Alliance cast was so incredible, I would be quite sad if nobody transferred to Bway

Actually it says that every single role is on offer.

Yep. Every named character at least.
Would be a shame if the show is totally recast bc I loved the Alliance cast and want a cast recording with them.

Well presumably those offers are to the Alliance cast.
What is the difference between "on offer" and "cast"? Verbal offer? Signatures?

I believe that that “on offer” or “offer out” means a verbal or written offer has been made, but an AEA contract has not yet been signed.”Cast” means the contract has been signed and it’s a done deal. I’m sure casting directors are not always consistant with these terms, but they is what I have always interpreted them to mean.

My guess is The Imperial.
I think that pic that was posted is doctored. I walked past there a few days that week and it appeared they were loading some stuff out of the theater.

Thank you.
My guess is the Shubert. If it was the Imperial, I feel like it would have been announced already. The rumor is that Tommy is taking the Imperial this fall.

Tommy I believe is eyeing the Broadhurst for the Spring, so I could def see this going into Imperial. We should find out soon!

Someone posted a very legit looking poster with new art that says “Coming to Broadway Spring 2024.”
But I can’t find it on any official social media pages so

It got taken down as quickly as they put it up. I'm sure some poor ad agency intern is getting a talking to today
Their new ads up on Facebook today all say it’s coming to Broadway so I’m guessing an official announcement is imminent.
There’s already been casting calls saying Broadway 2024. Their theater of choice just must be currently occupied or else they’d have announced it.
