I thought it was leather or pleather....Oh well. Yeah I hope that's still in there but the full on catsuit might not be because Happy New Year was cut I think.....

Hi Anthony. Is there any chance that Halloween was added back in? I know that its not a very important number in terms of plot, but I just think it shows such raw and great emotion. Anyways, thanks for answering all these questions... its really getting me excited for the movie.
"If there was a Mount Rushmore for Broadway scores, "West Side Story" would be front and center. It snaps, it crackles it pops! It surges with a roar, its energy and sheer life undiminished by the years" - NYPost reviewer Elisabeth Vincentelli
Halloween's back in? Well, not exactly one of my favorites...
...but getting Mark back his "solo," it's all good!
"During this performance, please feel free to let your cell phones and pagers ring willy-nilly. However, do remember that there are heavily-armed knights on stage and you might well be dragged up and impaled."
(Pre-curtain announcement at the new Broadway musical Monty Python's Spamalot)
MissMonika, do a search on the original Rent movie thread that Anthony first posted on. He gave a tentative list of what songs will be in, though I know some changes have been made, for example Halloween has been added back in. From what I remember, most of the major songs are in there, the cut ones are tune-ups and voice-mails and stuff which will somehow be incorporated into dialogue.

well i think that Contact, Christmas Bells, Seasons of Love B, and i heard Happy New Year (A or B) are cut but i'm not one hundred percent sure. there are more but i'm to lazy to check.
i totally agree that Contact was right to be cut out. they can just have sex all over the place...lol.
and sorry about my last post...so long...be glad i didn't add another conversation with my other friend, but i hope my message got across. thanks
Oh ya.....Anthony..i haven't read the whole thread, but what are the similarities of Mark and Jonathan from RENT and J.Larsan's TICK TICK BOOM? (sorry if someone has already asked you this question)

Hey, Anthony. If you've got some time, please go check out my blog. I'm working on a series of essays about why I love the people I love on Broadway, and you're the first one I've finished. Just read it and maybe let me know if you like it. Thanks.
1. Ted Allen: Everyone has an interesting life if you ask the right questions.
2. Great buckets of Spoffnor, they're going to sing!
3. "I love shrubs that are historical." -Johnny and The Sprites
4. "We're not singing it to you, we're singing it for us." -Rosario Dawson, about La Vie Boheme
5. "The best moments in reading are when you come across something - a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things - which you had thought special and particular to you. And now, here it is, set down by someone else, a person you have never met, someone even who is long dead. And it is as if a hand has come out, and taken yours." -The History Boys
6. "Pass the parcel. That's sometimes all you can do. Take it, feel it and pass it on. Not for me, not for you, but for someone, somewhere, one day. Pass it on, boys. That's the game I want you to learn. Pass it on." -The History Boys

"There's a butt naked princess, lounging in a bed, calling your name. What exactly didn't you realize? Before our wedding night, pack up some of that dried monkey meat and have the royal cartographer draw you a map of the female body, captain. Maybe then you'll be more inclined to come explore!"
sorry ....there is this feeling that my post of my conversation.......shouldn't have been posted up. sorry...i don't know why i have this feeling. Well i guess it is gone now since i typed this useless post as well.
Wow i sound so negative. It is fine. I find pleasure in my pain. And i am serious.
Now i'll be quiet and think of something good to type.

No problem Monika. You'll get the hang of it don't worry.
"The weight of this sad time we must obey, Speak what we feel, not what we ought to say. The oldest hath borne most; we that are young Shall never see so much, nor live so long"-Edgar in King Lear
We'll see... maybe they're keep on adding more and more songs in. I think that without some of the songs it will still work out... but I think it will be weird to watch, kind of expecting a song to be there, and it does come up when you expect it.

I'm feeling very sappy and warm right now. Really, honestly, and truly extremely excited about this film, and I'd like to give everyone hugs in my excitement. *massive hugs*
And Anthony, a hug to you as well, seeing as you're giving us all this wonderful inside info *glomps*

Awwww. I love hugs!! Sorry, that was random. Hehehe.
*returns Fizz's hug in equal excitement for the movie* Yes, for the songs that were cut or turned into dialogue, I can see why. I mean there has to be some dialogue in the movie. Still can't wait to see it. I wonder if people are going to dress up and whatnot to see the movie. I might have to stick a portable CD player and speakers in my bag and blare some RENT songs to turn some heads. :-P It's temping....
