I am surprised no one mentioned "Side Show" (which I loved)

a few. Yagmcb. This show was just great fun! The cast was amazing, the costumes and the sets also embodied the spirit of the comic. Also the last five years because the recording is amazing and i really want to see it!!! the same with taboo, bare and tick tick boom. Oh and De la guarda!
"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell

Little Shop of Horrors
A near perfect cast, staging, and all-around production, I LOVED it. Why'd it have to go?

TABOO
was great fun but didn't have broad enough appeal,
unfortunatly
DANCE OF THE VAMPIRES
w/o crawford's ego may have worked.
LA BOHEME
was simply brilliant!!! and beautifully staged
ROCKY HORROR SHOW
fun fun fun... why didn't this work?

Taboo (OF COURSE!)
Martin Guerre
Bare
Parade (or anything else by JRB)
Urban Cowboy but make sure the actors know their lines and blocking!(Poor Aunt felt and sprained her ankle opening weekend because she still didn't know the blocking because it changed so often!) (and get a better director)

I actually think many of these shows would have stayed open longer if it wasnt for people making decisions based on reviews. if you are the slightest bit interested in a show, if you have the money, just go see it. thats what we did with dance of the vampires lol and loved it. i also think (with a new cast...that can sing) never gonna dance could have worked.

In my opinion, I think that,in all honesty, Les Miz should get another chance. It was such a sad and romantic story, like Phantom of the Opera and it's still running on Broadway. How many years has it been running now?

The Songs Of David Friedman- Listen To My Heart- Loved the music.
Caroline Or Change- Wish it could have stayed Off Broadway for years. It did get a shorter life then it deserved.
Secret's Every Smart Traveller Should Know- A Very funny review Off Broadway.
PRYMATE- LOL!

Elphaba, RumTum - how does Les Mis deserve another chance....?
I mean, it is my favorite show, but it ran for (what?) 16 years!
The sets are now being used in Belgium...I think Les Mis did well enough....

I'd like to see CARRIE done again. I just watched it last week late at night. I forgot how good the movie was. I don't know anything about the show besides the fact that it was a MAJOR flop.

Taboo
Jane Eyre
Blood Brothers
Parade
Dance of the Vampires
The Wild Party (La Chiusia) - It seems that the only WILD PARTY that gets recognized (on this board, atleast) is the terrible Lippa version, probably because of the recent Idina Menzel-obsession, but the music was mediocre, the book was terrible, and the show just didn't work. The Broadway version was incredibly directed, brilliantly performed, and has a gorgeous (time period appropriate) score and book. Everything about it was haunting, beautiful, and amazing - especially Toni Collette and Eartha Kitt. Why did this show fail? It still doesn't make sense to me.

Oh yes, SUNSET BOULEVARD, too.
Although I would be more interested to see this musical made into a movie.
