re: Who has been nicest to you at the Stage Door?

I was simply trying to find out what all the "nobody's fans" thing is.

But never mind.

re: Who has been nicest to you at the Stage Door?

Then there's the nastiest thing I ever saw at a stage door...
That would be the night after a preview perf of "Twice Around the Park" when Claire Nichtern was pissed off with Murray Schisgal because she wasn't invited to the premiere of "Tootsie" and she slammed the stage door.
Right on one of the stagehand's... hand.

Bill Nighy after THE VERTICAL HOUR––he was warm and friendly, and he seemed happy to visit––didn't rush. Julianne Moore was also very sweet.

Melissa Bohon, the Glinda understudy took me on a full backstage tour during the stop of WICKED in Buffalo when i just met her the day before. so so so sweet. Ben Vereen is also my favorite and the nicest actor I've ever met.

Jenna Russell by far! We had a whole conversation about Damn Yankees and when she wants to see it and when i'm going to see it. I actually died.

Both Lea Michelle and Jonathan Groff were both incredibly kind, sweet, funny and a bunch of other adjectives at the Spring Awakening door, and Lea was just as nice outside of NERO.

Idina, who I have been told can be very monosyllabic at the stage door, was very funny, vivacious and entertaining outside of NERO. She smiled, took time to meet everyone and have a personal moment with them.

Also, I have to point out Kerry Butler and Curtis Holbrook were extremely engaging and kind outside of the stagedoor to Xanadu.

I've gotta say Lisa Brescia. I wanted Annaleigh Ashford to be nicer than she was. Lisa took the time to actually chat and sign and take pictures. Annaleigh seemed kind of rushed and blew her fans off, and this was two different nights. Her understudy, Michelle London on the other hand, was extremely nice and happy to see fans.

re: Who has been nicest to you at the Stage Door?

The list of people who have been nice is unbelievable. Everyone from ITH is superb. Same goes for everyone currently in Some Americans Abroad, Marriage of Bette and Boo, Chicago, Xanadu, Wixked, etc.

I am more amazed by the few people that are rude or obnoxious. I mean Al Pacino is pretty much as A list as you can get and he would stand and sign and pose for pictures with everyone and anyone. Meanwhile, Dawson from Dawson's Creek wouldn't give the time of day to two young girls waiting for him before one of his shows. (Same can be said for Marisa Tomei who runs hot and cold).

re: Who has been nicest to you at the Stage Door?

Jenna Russell
the cast of [title of show]
most of the cast of A Chorus Line
Gavin Lee

The rudest in recent memory is Mario Lopez.

re: Who has been nicest to you at the Stage Door?

Audra McDonald after a performance of MARIE CHRISTINE. She was so gracious and surprised that my friends and I, massive fans, waited for her. She had a mini-presentation for some school kids so she came out a little later than usual. Audra was just lovely.

Leslie Kritzer was a doll when I chatted up with her after A CATERED AFFAIR.

Same with Cheyenne Jackson when I saw the NYMF mounting of ALTAR BOYZ. He was such a nice guy back then and even after his success, Jackson is still a very nice guy when he chatted with fans after XANADU. Ditto with Kerry Butler in XANADU.
