Has anyone tried Hunchback at Paper Mill Playhouse?
"Mostly, I loved the size of these people's emotions. Nobody has emotions this size anymore. Outsized emotions. Operatic emotions. Kushemski and Vanda are like Tristan and Isolde, they're Paolo and Francesca. Nobody's in total thrall like this anymore. Nobody's overcome by passion like this, or goes through this kind of rage." I know there are a couple of us who sent requests and Broadway Cares donations to If/Then. I haven't gotten any mail yet but Broadway Cares did cash my check yesterday so I will assume that means I have something coming from If/Then.
Sometimes shows will wait until the end of a run before they fulfill playbill requests. I didn't hear back from You Can't Take It With You or The Elephant Man until about a week after the shows closed. When you said that your check donation had been cashed in, I decided to take a look at my account and noticed that 2 $20 checks had been cashed over the past couple of days (I sent a $20 check donation to If/Then and Cabaret about a month ago) so I assume I will be getting something in the mail shortly as well. If they weren't going to send me a playbill, I'm sure they would have returned my check to me in the mail like other shows who have decided not to fulfill my playbill requests despite donations to BC/EFA.

Yeah the check I had sent to Beautiful was also just cashed so Broadway Cares must have been doing its accounting. I agree it would be inappropriate to accept a check that was a donation essentially in exchange for an item and then not send it.
Heard back from Helen Mirren today. It took less than two weeks and she signed two things for me.

Received a cast-signed If/Then playbill in the mail today

Also heard back from Book of Mormon today. Took about a month, no donation requested.
Also, when is the best time to send an autographed playbill request? During previews, or after opening? Or does it really matter?

Heard back from Cabaret, but all I got was a playbill autographed by Alan Cumming and Emma Stone (not Sienna Miller?) and not the entire cast. Have they run out of cast-signed playbills do to BCEFA? For them to give me a playbill from Emma Stone's run, I assume they ran out and are just giving whatever is left.

After getting a little nervous the past couple days, I received my If/Then playbill signed by the entire cast today. It's great! Had a hard time finding Idina Menzel's signature - I was looking on the woman in the artwork and thinking it would be the shorthand one - and then I realized there was a full signature near the top on the "Playbill" section. Very cool.
Atuomala - Also I know Cabaret is over but since you asked, I was at the show on Wednesday and was able to purchase a signed playbill but it was signed by Alan Cumming, Sienna Miller, Linda Emond and Danny Burstein only. So maybe they had leftovers from December that they were sending to the mailed requests. As of Wednesday they were out of signed windowcards too.
I sent a playbill request to Remy Zaken at Brooklynite and she tweeted about it! She didn't even @ me, just said she appreciated my letter and would get back to me soon! I guess she doesn't get a lot of fan mail? It was so cute though
A couple days ago I got a reply from Idina Menzel via If/Then. She sent me a cast signed If/Then Playbill, signed my Wicked Playbill and my Rent CD cover (she also kindly got Anthony to sign it as well). I was very surprised and delighted by this, seeing that I sent to her last summer!
Ok, sending my Patti LuPone fan letter and a few CD covers off today to 54 Below. I'm nervous! I included a SASE with two Forever stamps so that should definitely cover the journey back, if there is one!
Every time I send pictures (or collectibles) to Stockard Channing when she is at a theatre she signs and sends them back if I ask her to. But I always do the self addressed-stamped thing too. I usually meet her and get a photo with her after the show, she'll sign and return. I just met her for the 7th time! She is so amazing...
Has anyone sent to Carey Mulligan or Bill Nighy over at Skylight?

Wow! You actually heard back from Idina Menzel? My seven-year-old daughter hand wrote her a note last June and even addressed the envelope herself. It was so cute and adorable. I even took a picture of the envelope and the letter in case we ever heard back from her so we could put it all together. My daughter didn't send anything with the letter...just told her how much she loved her work and that she was her inspiration to persue theater. Do you think there is a chance she might still hear back from her?
Has anyone sent to Fun Home? Any direction how to do so would be much appreciated.
Ive ve only done this a few times...years ago. Saw the show last Friday night and am going again in a few weeks but I don't think I'll be able to stage door.
Has anyone had any luck with playbill requests from any Roundabout shows? The only luck I ever had was with Cabaret.
