I still think that Spring Awakening is the worst performance over all I've ever seen. The singing was decent...but the over all show was awful.

I luckily see a lot of GOOD people, but off the top of my head:
Charlotte D'Amboise in A Chorus Line
Ali A. (spelling?!) as Cosette in Les Mis revival (just blah)
Stacy Morgain Lewis as Glinda in Chicago's Wicked
uhh, that's about it.

Steph- Do you mean Ali Ewoldt? If so, I agreee. She was very pretty but bland. Far from the worst though.

Joanna Glushak as Dot in Sunday in the Park with George.
In fairness, I've seen her once or twice since where she was better cast, and enjoyed her. But as Dot? Not. She was really wrong for the role. And in the middle of "Children and Art," she went up on the lyric, and seated as I was in the back row of the orchestra, I could hear the conductor Paul Gemignani making his Broadway vocal debut by singing the lyrics up to her from the pit. And this was Bernadette's week off, so it's not like she was a last minute replacement.
That was the first Broadway show I ever saw.

Adam Pascal - Aida
Tonya Pinkins - Radio Golf (I suppose the part wasn't terribly well written, and she was doing absolutely nothing to help. Interestingly enough, she makes my list in the best performances category also for Caroline, or Change).
The Les Mis revival. 'Nuff said.

Melanie Griffith in Chicago. She gasped, Oh SH*T, as she did a half cartwheel. A real pro.

Usber in Chicago was a disgrace. The little boy read the lines as if he was reading an IKEA instruction manual and sang with the glossy singing voice that actors do in movie musicals because they find out that they can't belt like Mary Bond Davis.

Frankly, I've seen some great theatre on Broadway and some not so great theatre, but if you want to see the WORST performances, than go to Hawaii. I saw the worst production of JCS ever. And some of the theatre in Denver is pretty bad as well.

""That said: Tony Curtis in the musical version of "Some Like It Hot." He actually sang. Kind of. But at least he looked like he was having a good time.""
My mother and I were practically crying in the theater. I'm glad someone else saw that. Actually if I could remember who else was in it I'd list them here too but I've tried to block that whole show out.

Now what would you say if today I started over?
Without a thing but this taped together four leaf clover
And I'll pretend like everything is already alright
And I'll run toward the sun till the castle's out of sight

Ali Ewoldt's singing wasn't very good, either.
Anyway... Ahmelie, I'm interested that you said David Burnham in LitP. May I ask why? I rather liked him when I saw him, even though I had my hesitations (I often find his voice can be whiney.)
