Chicago... *hides*... I dunno... the only song i really like out of it is "All That Jazz" (only when Bebe sings it), and what I have heard of Bat Boy i can't say i enjoyed either.

On the RENT thing, remember that it really wasn't "finished" as Jonathon Larson died too soon. But I don't much care for the way they ended it either, even though I am still a HUGE renthead.

Beauty and the Beast : I love some of the songs but the staging was so slow. The Lion King : Boring Mary Poppins : Nice sets but long and Laura M. Kelly was not up to it. Jesus Christ Superstar.
In my heart, I found the answered dream,
and in my soul I found the song, and in my friends
I found the magic, the love,
the moon up above- they were mine, all mine, all along..!
Actually Rent was comletely finished when Jonathan died. In fact it was said by one of his friends that Jonathan told him the day before he died that there was only one line of dialogue in the show that he wanted to change. Certainly nothing to the extent of reworking the ending. That said Rent is a wonderful show I just feel it is an adult show for all but ten minutes and then we are all somewhat patronized. (I think her coming back works just not as well as if she just died. If taken as a metaphor it is easier to stomach, but that is a little bit of a stretch).
The Producers - this beat The Full Monty for Best Score?? Mille Rent - probably the fault of bad productions Most Rogers and Hammerstein - I've seen productions of most of their shows, and not one has ever made me want to see them again.

I can take stupid or crude humor....but only to a certain point. These two cross the line -- Q of crudeness and Spam of stupidity.
And RENT, which I have yet to reeeeeeeeally see, just doesn't connect with me. I'm sure it's great for people who can relate to it...but...yeah...nothin'.
