RobbieJ, that's not what I meant by it. I meant it in a "been there, done that, you're being ridiculous" kind of way. I think you got that, though, right?
And believe me, I know that my little bit of work is a far cry from that of others. :)
"I know now that theatre saved my life." - Susan Stroman
My point really was that others have been activists for a while and still managed to find what Ripley posted was wrong. So...certain life experiences don't necessarily lead all people to the same conclusions.
Personally, I think being an actor makes me far more insightful about the theatre than many of the loons around here. I just try not to say it out loud.
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.”

Ad te clamamus exsules filii Eva
Ad te suspiramus, gementes et flentes
O clemens O pia
I thought it was just a non sequitur to change the subject.
I love this comment from the Towelroad site:
"Anyway, I just read the entire protest threat Andy links to and I don't think anyone is taking the "demonstration" seriously. Halfway through, the thread turns into a comparison of various M&Ms varieties."
Perez Hilton just posted about the "protest" on his site stating that Ripley should apologize. It must a slow news day.
Funny, Perez can use the offending term to attack will.i.am but Alice can't. Things that make you go hmmm.....
