Let's do the math.
An amazingly talented actress.
A world class singer with a voice perfectly suited for this part.
Among the finest interpreters of Sondheim.
Who can pull off the comedy in her sleep.
Who can scare the &*() out of an audience with the best of them.
Who can doubtless transform from crone to exquisite.
Impeccable casting.
OF COURSE SOME ARE GOING TO COMPLAIN IF SHE GETS THIS ROLE!
