If this show is (hopefully) a hit and has a long life, who could realistically succeed Clark? She’s so perfect it’s actually hard to think of people. It’s such an incredible role for a woman of that age but also seems very hard to recast with someone who brings to it the innocence she’s able to.
Joanna Gleason, maybe?

Joanna Gleason is a fabulous idea.
Something tells me Donna Murphy would actually be fabulous. I know that we haven't seen that type of pure innocence from her (as far as I know), but if you look at the insane range she's played and how glorious of an actor she is, I think she could pull it off. Don't know how her voice is these days.

I thought of Donna Murphy as well.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Also, more than a few times, Victoria’s portrayal and voice sounded so much like Frances Conroy, it made me wish she was just a touch younger and could sing.

Most of these suggestions are way too young reading. In some ways, so is Victoria, but she pulls it off. It needs to be someone who is not glamorous. Betty Buckley would kill it. No one can ever replace Mary Louise Burke, though.
