That’s pretty typical for shows that flopped on Broadway. They either go out non-union or never tour at all.

So the Ahmanson gets OH MARY and... maybe a launch for JUST IN TIME? They've gotten nonunion tours before, so maybe BOOP?

The Ahmanson subscriber base would love Just In Time. When Jersey Boys first played there, it was the talk of the town.

Possibly so!

But I’m a little torn, because their subscriber base also leans older, which isn’t a problem with Jersey Boys or Just in Time, but definitely makes the crowd for Oh, Mary! a little less raucous.

Yes, Oh Mary is a tricky addition to any tour stop. Though...Avenue Q played at the Ahmanson. I'll be mad if they make Oh Mary a add on- as every year I ask myself why I renew my subscription.

Wow Broadway in Hollywood hoovers everything up, remorselessly. I had a feeling that The Outsiders would’ve announced as a late addition for the Ahmanson, like &Juliet did, the reason for this is because their current season is appalling, so thought they pull a rabbit out of the hat - but I was very wrong. It just means that the Center Theater Group has to look harder for shows and unearth gems like Everyone is Talking About Jamie, which I loved, period. I saw it seven times.

They could bring over 2 Strangers, Chess or/and Ragtime.

Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson is an Equity house.  (The theatre operates under an agreement between League of Resident Theatres and Actors’ Equity Association.)

Non-equity tours never performed at the Ahmanson as part of its subscription.

We weren’t crazy about Jamie, even though we loved the movie and cast recording; but I’d lose my mind if they could find a way for Ragtime or Chess!!

There has been another month of cities dropping their 2026-27 schedule since the above message posted and Moulin Rouge has still not shown up. Their website does not list anything past Boston on August 9th. It seems the Equity tour is dead at the end of this current season. Has anyone heard anything about a non-equity tour going out?

The Marcus Center in Milwaukee has announced their 2026-27 season.  It has taken several years but it appears they are taking advantage of the extra available dates due to the Milwaukee symphony orchestra leaving for their own theater.

I just searched the jobs boards, and nothing is listed for MR looking for anyone eq or non-eq.  All signs are pointing to MR being done after Boston stop in August.  Felt like one that couldve made another loop around the country in smaller venues as non-eq, but does not appear that this is the case.

The current Harry Potter tour shutters following the Salt Lake City engagement and will reopen as a non-equity production in early 2027.

Does it seem strange that Boop! isn't going to a lot of cities?  It's scheduled for Las Vegas, but not LA or San Francisco.  A lot of shows seem to do those three in some kind of order.

The Broadway League website has dates for past the Salt Lake dates. Do they generally post non equity tour dates?

Curious to see if they are all EQUITY productions.  Also weird that there is a six month gap between the NOTEBOOK and Hell's Kitchen and that three of the six shows are in the summer  (HMM?)
