This is sad news as I thought this was tons better than ITH and PS
Their Thursday matinee thing didn't even go into effect yet! Cry-Baby, Sunday, Curtains, A Chorus Line, now this!
That's a shame. I would have liked to see it.
Wow, I'm kinda surprised. It didn't seem it was doing that poorly.

Nooooooooooo. I knew it. I knew that after the critical reception, the chances of me seeing this would be slim. Just didn't think it would be this soon.
Wow, I'm really surprised.
Woooaaaah. Did NOT see that one coming.
Well ****. I really wanted to see that...Maybe I'll be able to get down to NY before it closes.
No!!! It's so much better than most of the shows on Broadway.
Does this mean we can't have any intellectual shows on Broadway anymore?
It's really not doing poorly at all...
With six weeks, could this be a ploy to boost ticket sales, then announce an extension?
I saw a performance last night curtesy of TDF and thought it was a beautiful small and intimate show. I thoroughly enjoyed the music and for the most part, the cast. Highlights were Prince and Kritzer (who was beautifully heartbreaking). Unfortunatly I felt Fierstein was totally miscast and had no purpose for entrance applause and to have the last exit. It's a shame he's in it because as a book writer he should know when to stop for the sake of the show.
No! That's really sad I didn't think they were doing that badly
Re: ploy to boost sales- Doubtful. It's not doing THAT poorly, but not well enough to bother keeping open any longer than originally intended.
That's sad. It's another blow to smart, original musicals coming to Broadway.
Yes, I know it's based on a movie.
I'm really surprised. And sad for all involved.
Their grosses seemed fairly strong. Are the running costs higher than one would assume? I really thought it was doing okay.
Very sad news, this show really deserved better

So sad. IMO, the most underrated show of the season. Is it perfect? No. But it sure has a lot more artistry and heart than half the crap that opened this year. It deserved Cry-Baby's Best Musical nomination.

So sad! My heart goes out to the talented cast and crew! Not really surprised though - Harvey's blog hinted at it
It's a blood bath out there!

Surely it was an open run?
And I thought the producers were going to really fight for this one.
That's such a shame ! And I think that no one predicted that ACA would close before Passing Strange ! This season is turning into a bloodbath ! I wish all the best to the cast and crew and especially to our own wonderful BWWer !
No, no, no, no!
This is such a fantastic musical, the best new one of the season, in my opinion. Catch it if you can!
This is so sad. I encourage anyone who hasn't seen it to hurry up and get tickets. It's a lovely show!
How disturbing. :-/
I was fortunate enough to have seen this last month and thought it was a lovely show. It was a very nice evening at the theatre. I enjoyed it (Catered Affair) more than both In the Heights and Passing Strange. Nothing wrong with either of those shows, just not to my taste.
Well, I'm seeing Curtains final show, maybe I'll see ACA again before it closes. Good luck to the cast and crew, and a giant thank you to Harvey F.
