I hope 5 years from now she is not regretting what she did to her voice during all the shrieking.

It's really hard for me to believe that the way she's singing the score is not causing vocal damage."
Maybe, but she seems to be missing more shows post-Tonys than before, unless some people in this tread are just emphasizing it more now. It makes me wonder she's lost the drive now that she didn't cop the Tony. I'd have liked to see this show continue strong, win or not, but it needs her to be there to do that.

And how about 18 times in 205 performances? Y'all are so damn weird lol. If we're going to pull up numbers let's pull them all up.

I think Audra is a real deal professional. I can't imagine not winning a Tony would effect her work ethic. If call outs have increased since the ceremony (according to this thread they have) I think the likelier culprit is post-Tonys exhaustion. June always sees a lot of performers calling out (in nominated shows).
Who’s seeing Montego’s Rose debut tonight?

Montego joining for the week is really exciting to me! I only wish her stay were longer. Assuming she will sing the score in the original keys?
“I only wish her stay were longer.” I wouldn’t wish this on the show. Sales are abysmal this week. It’s already broadways worst week of the year. They’ve blocked off the rear mezz and rear orchestra and she still isn’t half sold. I’d be shocked if the show manages to break $600,000 in sales this week.
I guess it would be financially prohibitive to just shut down for a week and give the entire company a break? Especially this awful holiday theater week . I know DBH could use some reset time as well.

What would be the point? They'd still have to pay everyone. The Shuberts aren't going to waive their rent for a week.

That statement is not even a little bit true. Maybe it's a down week of the summer but certainly not the worst week of the year... have you seen January and September weeks?
