how exciting...AARON SORKIN is a genius writer...i loved his movie STEVE JOBS...one of the most articulate and verbose movies i have ever seen...hopefully Sorkin will put some fire into this version that will make this work for the stage...
Jeff Daniels as Atticus?

But is "verbose" really a quality that is desirable in a play (or any medium, for that matter)? I don't think that word means what you think it does...

PLEASE! PLEASE. PLEASE.
I mean he's not a terrible choice, but....eh...I don't know.....
It will be interesting to see if having the kids played by adults works. It will also be interesting to see if Sorkin can do something that isn't just 10 hours of dialogue.
Especially excited for Ms. Jackson. I thought she was the highlight of the last RAISIN IN THE SUN revival, delivering such a compelling and graceful performance in a stellar production.
Beautiful cast and beautiful creative team. I'm very interested in this. I thought Celia had retired from acting. I was missing her, she's a wonderful talent.
Jeff Daniels as Atticus and Celia Keenan-Bolger as Scout is truly inspired. And with Bart Sher at the helm?
This has the potential to be a legendary production.
Not sure how I feel about the kids being played by adults, but with that cast I'm definitely willing to hold any judgement until I see it. This has a lot of potential and anything that gets Jeff Daniels back onstage is good in my book.
Wow! What a cast!
I agree about the adults-playing-children thing being a little disappointing, but I hope it's done stylistically in a way that makes it work. I'm skeptical, but I think they can make it work. After all, two of Celia Keenan-Bolger's Tony noms have been for playing children.
Love hearing that Lincoln Center is involved. Richardson-Jackson is incredible casting as Calpurnia. Solid cast all around.
Well, it's not even adults playing kids - its adults over 30 playing kids, but Sorkin has said he is approaching this as a memory play, so we will have to see how that plays out.
This looks likes it’s shaping up to be phenomenal. Sorkin, Sher, that cast..... wow!!!
Also, am I overlooking it, or has Boo Radley not been cast yet?
I’ll be interested to see how the memory play aspect of this is going to work.
It would also seem, given the prominence of the judge and the prosecutor in the billing, that Sorkin appears to be making this more of a courtroom drama and less of a coming of age piece. I hope I’m wrong- if anyone can get this right it’s Sorkin.

This is the most excited about a cast I've been in ages.
Just learned Adam Guettel is writing music for this and I’m so HERE for it. I wonder how the music will be used.
Owiuerj pusem oso id;reoga ;peoujapowj lslei!!!!! (That's my brain. Exploding)
YES PLEASE.
There's an interesting line from I Remember Mama that is applicable to adults playing the kids/this being a memory play. It goes something like..."It's funny, but when I look back, I always see Nels and Christine and myself looking almost as we do today. I guess that's because the people you see all the time stay the same age in your head."
I love this team, this cast, this novel, the movie. SO excited. (How long must we wait?)

I don't know - I find Mr. Sorkin's work overbearing - Molly's Game being a perfect example - and frankly I'm not that interested in Aaron Sorkin's To Kill a Mockingbird as I am in Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird. She doesn't need his or anyone else's help, frankly.
