Do a marathon day for Angels, it will be one of the most incredible experiences you will ever live on a theater. It's such a marvelous productions.
Harry Potter is a good play, but not even close.

I feel pretty in the dark about this. Can someone please explain? 2 parts, 4 hours each? You can see both in one day?
Having just seen a stunning scaled back production in Melbourne Australia yesterday, I can't wait to see this in New York again. Yesterday was really a masterpiece of theatre, the time flew by, was on the edge of my seat for nearly all of it. It really is superb theatre.
^I agree. I really think that it's one of the greatest pieces of America theatre.

I've had the pleasure of seeing
The Original Broadway production
Orginal Melbourne production
Orginal Sydney production
Than last nights scaled down production

Angels in America, Part One: Millennium Approaches typically runs between 3-3.5 hrs.
Angels in America, Part Two: Perestroika runs closer to 4 hrs.
They tend to run in repertory with individual parts playing on different days and then some marathon days in which both parts are playing so you see Part One in the afternoon, break for dinner, and see Part Two in the evening.
Kushner in interviews has described Part One as being the polished tight play and Part Two being the more sprawling, less tightly constructed play.
You do not have to see the two parts in consecutive order, but if you see Part Two first it helps to understand the basic plot of what occurs in Part One. And I know people who have seen Part One and never seen Part Two, but felt like they had a complete and satisfying experience.

Any idea of when a schedule for the performances may be released? Trying to schedule a marathon day of this and HP along with some other stuff for the spring is stressing me out

Since AmEx presale starts on 10/6, it has to be fairly soon.

Very surprised that with the Amex presale beginning on Friday we are still without pricing or a schedule. I want to know just how bad a hit my wallet is taking, darn it!

Yes, and I'm trying to see if we'll be able to do the double header when we are there opening weekend.

Schedule is up on Ticketmaster if you search for Angels. March has a weird schedule probably b/c of previews, but starting in April it's marathons on Wed, Sat, and Sun, and one part each on Thu/Fri. It seems like as of now you don't have the option of buying only one part, all tickets are for both parts. No pricing info except these $99 tickets:
Ticket Limits
There is an eleven (11) ticket limit per person. For $99 bundled tickets, there is a two (2) ticket limit per person.

Am I missing something or are some of these pairings strange, previews or not?
Angels in America (NY): Parts 1 & 2 - Sat 2/24 7PM & Thur 3/1 7PM
Angels in America (NY): Parts 1 & 2 - Sun 2/25 6PM & Sun 3/4 6PM
Angels in America (NY): Parts 1 & 2 - Sun 3/18 2PM & Sat 3/24 7PM
They are odd pairings, but without a full calendar it's hard to see what's going on.
Well, God damn it, they're not making it easy for out-of-towners, are they?
I would be so, so happy if I could see both parts for $99.

That's exactly my thought...I have to come in from Boston and this is going to significantly cut into the dates it's possible for me to travel.
$99 for both parts would be amazing.

Yeah, even coming from Jersey the date pairings are a bit annoying. Would love to be able to do a marathon day but I'm sure those are going to go fast. Does anybody know what Amex cards are accepted during the presale? I have an Amex Blue Cash, will all Amex's be accepted?
If the trade-off for a $99 package deal is not being able to choose the dates, I'd be down.
