Those are the phone redemption prices, which are always there. They've just removed the online redemption option, for obvious reasons.
Hey guys, this doesn't have anything to do with tickets (obviously), but there is a lot of great new merch on Audience Rewards. Great stuff from Company, DEH and WSS. Enjoy!

For those who like to redeem their points for merchandise, for some reason they have increased the points and dollar value on all existing merchandise. As of Monday or Tuesday.
They have increased the points again, second time in less than a month. A magnet that was 900 points in August is now 1700 points. I sure would like to know why they keep raising the point value. I should have redeemed for the magnet in August.

That's so shady. My guess is, prior to the pandemic, most folks redeemed for show tickets. Now that there are no shows, the demand for merch has probably increased, so why not be greedy?

Why is raising prices based on demand automatically greedy? Audience Rewards is a for-profit business (owned by the theater owners) and they have an obligation to return value to their stakeholders. Amazon, hotels, theme parks etc all rais prices based on demand. And redeeming points for airline tickets is no longer a set amount - it changes based on demand.
I could see your point if the new redemption was for new inventory with newer shows included. But these are the same magnets, Cats, Waitress....that has been part of their selection, for the lower points, for at least one year. These magnets were not in demand a year ago at 900 points. What makes them so in demand now to raise to 1700 points?

You could say the same thing about a flight: last year the exact same flight required fewer points to redeem. Unless you have access to Audience Rewards data you have no idea what the demand is. Maybe there is natural demand cause we're all stuck at home and ordering more stuff. Maybe they created demand by sending out lots of emails encouraging people to cash in points (points ar a liability they have to keep on their books, it's in their best interest to get people to use them.) Maybe they are running low on supplies and decided to up the points needed to be able to keep stuff in stock. Who knows. But I very much doubt it was a greed. More like normal managing of the business.

Your flight analogy doesn't "fly". Any given flight fluctuates in dollars and points needed on a daily basis. You can purchase a flight in the morning and I can easily purchase the same flight, in the evening, for a cheaper price with dollars or points. Or the reverse. Everyone knows on a plane everyone payed a different price. Audience Rewards points doesn't work like that. Anyways, I NEVER stated it was for greed.
Looking forward to things happening again, but wanted to make note that there are a few pieces of Mrs. Doubtfire merch available on AR. With the new apparent name change to just 'Doubtfire', fans may want to jump on the "outdated" merch as it may be more of a collector's item, haha.

I read Waitress may come back for limited run? Could that be why?

I noticed they changed their merch in the last few months. Last Spring they had a full merch collection that was pretty ugly. So, I guess they are trying to get rid of them since they will just sit in a warehouse somewhere collecting dust otherwise. The new shirt "run by fruiting" is hilarious.
I used a very small number of points for a subscription to Encore magazine. It is nice to be able to check out the first year of the magazine for free. So far, I like it.

I hope some of that merch from The Cher Show appears at a future flea market. VERY tempted by that gorgeous Moulin Rouge mug. I might pop by the theater and just get one when the show opens again, if that's allowed.

It's the back half of the orchestra. I believe it starts at row Q and goes back to row ZZ.
