I interned at Telsey and he was always pleasant with me, liked my ideas for the lists we had to make for castings, etc etc. He did or said nothing inappropriate with me. However, in the ten years since then I've heard numerous stories of him saying really creepy things to boys during auditions."

To boys as in children?

I get that, but saying "...those of us in the industry assume you have no idea what you're talking about" just sounds really haughty and pretentious.

It's true that any casting director is going to correct you if you misspeak by calling them an agent instead of a director. An agent would be dedicated to finding work for their own roster of clients. ,

I think we see that it's time that there be an airing of the role that sexual "misconduct" has in influencing who does or doesn't advance in this business and in their careers.

I feel so awful for Mo Brady, but happy that these stories are finally coming to light.

I don't know them as a couple or Mo personally, but I legit always assumed they met by Justin coming on to him in a casting. Not denying any love or real connection, but just that was the how.

All that being said, i do have a problem with the Variety reporting.
"Sexual misconduct" is a) a conclusion and b) can encompass a wide variety of allegations, some of them extremely egregious, others fairly mild. Juanita Broaddrick's allegation that Bill Clinton raped her and Lee Ann Tweedon's allegation that Al Franken manipulatively put his tongue in her mouth while rehearsing a sexy scene are both allegations of sexual misconduct. But comparing them is like comparing armed robbery to attempted petty theft of services (and no I am not comparing sexual misconduct to larceny in any other way than to simply illustrate that in both contexts not all claims are equal). They should both be taken seriously, but they are not the same thing.

I understand this is all Variety may have to go on at this point. But before we engage in mob attacks on Huff, perhaps we should hear what the allegations are and not assume that they are the most egregious or presume that they are unimpeachable. There is still a process in which we should all be thinking about the facts that are presented to us, both in courts of law and in courts of public opinion.
"

Both a court of law and public opinion are fields of passing judgment, and neither is infallible.

That said, contrary to what you seem to suggest Variety isn't doing an expose or alleging stuff by themselves. They are reporting the fact of consequences from evidence presented to his employer - that is, the employer's action of dismissing him and the reason for that as stated by the employer. Variety didn't come up with the "sexual misconduct" label, it comes from Telsey: "Telsey confirmed there was sexual misconduct, but neither he nor other sources spoken to by Variety would confirm the exact nature of the inappropriate behavior."

I was just told of a few names that will be profiled on Monday. Sadly, two of the best choreographers in the business and a director i highly admire will be spotlighted.

This is going to change the landscape of the Great White Way.

I feel badly for all the actors who spent so much time being extra nice to him to try and get a job. Now they have to start all over again with someone else. Ugh.

I've heard the alleged names, too. It's prudent to take anything right now with a lot of salt.

But it's so much more fun to grab a pitchfork, a torch, and some nice pointy rocks to throw.

A reporter. Many have open DM policies. I say a reporter if you want to publicly tell your story on or off the record. However if you are looking for support I’d def reach out to support groups.
