To go back to the Emmy winners, there's always the winners in the guest star in a drama and comedy to consider, and often those go to "beloved" actors of a certain age. Could easily see that for an Amos, or even Billy.
Also, don't forget Emmy winners also include Daytime Emmys, so it be one of those people that are close to an EGOT just based on their morning show Broadway performance, or even a streaming show!

All to be taken with a grain of salt before the announcement. Hopefully we'll find out soon..."
She also said that she thinks ticket prices will increase after they announce. While the names being thrown around would be absolutely fantastic, do any of them have "sell out" power? I know I'd jump to see Krakowski, but I don't see her being enough to really drive people out of their way to Chicago. Is it possible we're missing something?
Ayanna was so stoked about the casting she heard, that she recommended buying tickets before they go up. She was just expressing her enthusiasm, but, in my opinion, there's no way they'll be raising prices, especially if the Bianca, Ana V., Lilias, and Jaime lineup is the correct one, which I believe it is.
I’m starting to feel bad for Emma Pittman. I imagine they have to let her be Roxie… eventually. Right?
"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel
Paul Tzot responded in an Instagram post that he's out of the country and will try to see the show when he can. He will not be Billy Flynn on Sept. 14th.
"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

Weren't others saying it was Jaime Camil? I saw him as Billy a few years ago. Loved him.
Disappointed over the fading Krakowski rumors. She has been approached multiple times, I thought they’d finally worked it out. But the recently rumored leads will both be incredible. What I’d pay to see Krakowski finally play Roxie, a role that fits her so spectacularly like a glove.

Put perfectly here. Given how stale the show occasionally seems and the various casting stunts (who wants to follow Erika Jayne...) I understand someone of Krakowski's caliber might be hesitant, but Roxie is a role she was born to play, and would make actually go back and see this show.
Not for anything, but wouldn't it be the biggest WTF if, after almost two years of being the face of Chicago in NYC thanks for the ads that were up during the whole pandemic, if Erika Jayne actually did come back to finish her run in Chicago?
I mean, with everything going on, if that's not life imitating art!

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
This is exciting! I haven't been to Chicago in ages, but this will get me there.
Also, regarding Ana Villafane... I loved her in On Your Feet so much. I've been hoping to see her as Angelica in Hamilton for the past few years. I wouldn't call this an underwhelming Broadway return, but I hope she gets to do something a bit more exciting.
Playbill is just using the picture shared to confirm. I wonder if they'll make an official announcement soon?

She definitely will need the $$$ and would be able to connect to Roxie's desperation in a new way...
