We have tix for a week from tomorrow, Monday the 22nd. It’ll be the first professional production I’ve ever seen of the show live, after memorizing the cast album some 50 years ago. Need to keep our expectations within reason :

Actually, there was one last night. I was there."
How was it?"
It was everything I dreamt it would since two years ago when it was announced. Cast is in top notch shape and they are loving, cherishing, and relishing every moment of the piece since being away from it for so long. LuPone? On fire. Lenk? Heartbreaking, charming, lovable, and her voice has grown stronger and stronger with the material.
Those of you going tomorrow are in for a treat. Actually, anyone going to any performance of this production is in for a treat.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
Free party hat and first preview tote bag at every seat. People are wearing the party hats, isn’t that going to obstruct some people’s view of the stage stage?

That was my first thought… hopefully people will them off when the show starts!

I like this idea- I’m calling tomorrow and grabbing a ticket for my birthday in May!
Marianne Elliot introduced the show and then the curtain raised on the entire cast in a line, to welcome us back. Lots of tears and then Patti stepped forward to say how she dedicates the show to Sondheim, who walked in a few moments earlier to a standing ovation. Yes, our Lord and Savior is here tonight.
