I'm shocked...he wasn't even very old. I'm legitimately so sad.

I'm seeing Lazarus on tuesday, i doubt there will be a dry eye in the house.
Wow. Just downloaded the new cd. Fell asleep after track 4. Listenimg to the rest now. Another part of the fabric of my life gone. May he rest in peace.

It's being reported that he had been fighting cancer for a year and a half.
RIP to a true legend.

He was Bowie. Not absurd at all.

i mean absurd in the sense of just how inhuman he was, creating til the very end.
His influence can not be overstated.
I'm at a complete loss.
I know I am far from alone in feeling like he gave me permission to be a lot of things.
i might be closer to alone in unabashedly adoring Lazarus.

Speechless.
R.I.P. That's awful news. I actually watched the man who fell from Earth yesterday because I had never seen it before and I'm seeing Lazarus tomorrow.

I just saw Lazarus on Saturday night. I am so shocked. The show was amazing and what a great talent he was.

I had the weirdest dream last night and remember it vividly. When I woke up the first thing I thought was it seemed like a David Bowie movie. Then I saw this news. Surreal. How very sad. Lazarus wasn't my favorite show this year but now I'm particularly glad I saw it and got to see his music brought to the stage. RIP to a real artist.
Wow. Such a shock. This is a huge loss.
May he rest in peace.
Damn, I was not expecting this. And his birthday was a couple days ago. RIP.
Hurts almost as much as Robin Williams. You just don't expect these kinds of things to happen so suddenly.
I am devastated to hear this news. I don't even know where to start.....Bowie's music was a huge part of my life through the 70's and 80's, and Blackstar is one of my favorite albums of the last few years. Bowie was easily the greatest innovator in rock and roll history. I am very sad today.

There is a (previously scheduled) Bowie tribute concert tonight in Brooklyn with Stephen Trask, Lena Hall and others. Should be incredible.
The world has lost a true renaissance man in every sense of the word. A legend and an icon. May he RIP.

Very sad news. RIP. Times has a note this morning about the tribute concert at Carnegie Hall and said "It's a good time to be David Bowie," noting his birthday, new album and Lazarus... ironic.
