According to Telecharge, Ben will be out tomorrow, Sunday, 6/25/17, at 3:00 p.m. I'm assuming this is because of the special performance at 8:00 p.m. to benefit The Actors Fund.
With Kristolyn Lloyd on vacation, I find it hard to believe that Ben doesn't have a vacation scheduled between now & mid-November. I wish the producers would just fess up and publicize when his vacation will be.
WAIT! I just bought a ticket and absolutely did not see that message for tomorrow's matinee. Can I still go to the box office OR CALL and get a refund?

Yes you can but please PLEASE go see Colton in the show. His performance is equal to Ben's, and this show is like sold out forever or the tickets are VERY VERY expensive. Seriously go especially if you havent seen the show yet
I saw it at 2ST with Ben. I'm usually so careful and I SWEAR that note about him being out tomorrow did NOT show up when I was buying my ticket. I'll think about it. I did get a good deal, center orch F at regular (not premium) price.

Colton is fine, but he's not at the same level as Ben. If you're going primarily to see Ben again, consider getting your money back (with the understanding you're unlikely to see him again at less than exorbitant prices).
I read awhile ago that the only scheduled time off Ben had was Yom Kippur. I don't know if that's still true, but heads up for anyone with tickets September 29-30th.
Speaking of Kristolyn being out- did anyone see that they added Phoenix Best to the company yesterday? Olivia had been on for Alana all week, but Laura Dreyfuss was out last night and she covered Zoe instead. Phoenix was brought in for Alana. The insert said she was joining the company, but I don't know if she's just a temporary member or joining the standby team for good.

He lives like a monk. I'd imagine he's on vocal rest for the added Actor's Fund performance that evening.

Ben is out tonight. I had the pleasure of catching today's matinee. He gave a beautiful, gutsy performance, and it was obvious mid-way through the first act he was struggling. His acting was on-point, but he had to make some safe vocal choices during the higher parts of For Forever. I would not have been surprised had he sat out the second act, but he finished the show. When he exited the stage, he appeared tired; he sighed and shook his head slightly as if to indicate fatigue and frustration. I was not at all surprised to hear he would be out for the evening show. This is a nine(!) show week, and to my knowledge he has not had a show off since the Tonys.

"I saw the show Tuesday night (the 20th) and was surprised to see he was in after that. He already sounded a bit sick Tuesday and by the end of Act 2 was coughing quite a bit. I saw him come out the front door with security and he looked absolutely destroyed. So I suspect this has been coming on for some time (or he never fully recovered from the issues he had pre-Tonys). Sounds like he could really use a longer break.
I was meeting a friend after Great Comet and we happened by Evan Hansen as my friend wanted to check on the cancellation line. We went into the box office and I overheard the box office staff telling people about Ben being out for the Sunday matinee, but about ten to fifteen minutes later, one of the members of the staff came out to tell the cancellation line that Ben would also be out for the Saturday evening performance. The line thinned out a little while I was standing there, but a fair amount of people stayed put and when I happened by later it seemed to have gotten longer again.
They also put up signs on the door to let people know that Ben was out and Colton was on.

Has he had his week long vacation yet? I recall all of the Hamilton actor's took a week long vacation. I sincerely hope he takes one if he has not already. He obviously needs a break. Mentally, emotionally, and physically.

Disappointing audience members who flown in to see him.
We saw Ben at the matinee yesterday. He was astonishingly good, but you tell he was very, very sick.
There were several moments when his voice gave out and you could tell he was in severe vocal pain.
I didn't know there was anything wrong, but I wondered if he made those sounds at every performance, because I can't imagine that is good for the throat.

Considering how much he's struggling, I couldn't agree more. All actors get vacation time, I just hope he does that for himself. This is about his health, not people's disappointment. He is only human and right now, per these reports, it seems like he needs a lot of rest. I only wish he could be THIS happy all the time.
