I'm begging you, for the love of God, shut up. Just stop. Stop sending out these ridiculous messages and alienating your fans, your colleagues, producers, directors, etc. You are embarrassing yourselves beyond belief and you're making even the bitchiest poster on this message board look infinitely smarter than you are.
Does this need it's own thread? Yeah, I think it does. After reading Meredith Patterson's blog (and let me just add before today I would pay to see a show starring Mrs. Patterson before seeing a show starring Zeta-Jones) I'm really just disgusted. Who do you think you are? These people HAVE theater backgrounds. And the ones that don't (like Scarlett who you "won't even go there" whatever that means since she gave an absolutely remarkable performance in that play which helped a dozen other actors stay employed for 4 months) care enough about acting and the piece they've chosen to do to commit themselves to a lengthy run when I'm sure they could be getting a boatload of cash for doing another film in a fraction of the time. Each and every time one of you decides to bash your fellow actors, what you are doing is losing fans.
Hunter, you should be so lucky to be in a show with someone like Catherine Zeta-Jones. Not only could you maybe pick up a thing or two regarding how to treat your fellow actors but you'd be in something you haven't been in for a decade. A hit.
You snarky people (none of whom could sell out a show on your names alone) are proving yourselves to be nothing but jealous, whiney little children who don't just want to play with the popular kids, but BE the popular kids. And since it's not happening you're running around the playground and making up lies about them, trying to get the other kids to join your little mob. It's pathetic. You are all pathetic and need to hear the truth. Unlike Denzel Washington, Catherine Zeta Jones, Scarlett Johansson, Kelsey Grammar, etc. you can all be (and at this point SHOULD BE) replaced. When the understudy slip falls out of the playbill and your understudy is on for that show nobody is going to go to the box office for a refund. Is that harsh? Yes. But it's the truth you need to accept. You are all extremely talented people. EXTREMELY. But you're not household names. If you want to be and you get to be I think that's wonderful, but you will be turning into the very people you claim to despise.
This bashing needs to stop NOW.
Maybe you should post this where they could actually see it.
Well apparently they all come here, so why not.

Why wouldn't they see this? This is one of only two major broadway message boards, the other being ATC which is not user-friendly at all.
Wonderful! I agree 100% with everything you said. If it wasn't going to be deleted in .5 seconds, I would tell you to post this on the Facebook group. But it doesn't matter because I'm sure they will read this and will get a reality check. You really can't just post whatever you want on the internet and expect no repercussions.
Well said Jordan.
Hear, hear.

Amazing as usual Jordan. Well done.
Brilliant post Jordan
Ive just written my latest article here in the UK for What's on Stage about this whole thing which should be published in the morning. We seem to share the same opinions

I agree!
I'm all for Scarlett Johansson winning. What most people seem to forget or don't know is when Andrew Lloyd Webber was trying to create his revival of The Sound of Music, he desperately wanted Scarlett to be Maria. The actress has been a fan of the theater since she was a little girl. When appraoched to play Maria, she gave an impromptu rendition of songs from the movie in front of a restaurant full of people to prove her singing credentials and obsession with the musical. Unfortunately, she had a sheaf of commitments and couldn't do the role.
The point of this is that most Hollywood actors have stage experience (maybe not professional) or have always wanted to be on Broadway. Actors are actors, no matter what. And it's all the better to be versatile in both stage and screen.
Also, I don't know what Chris Sieber said or did, but has he forgotten he was on "Two of a Kind" with the Olsen twins on ABC? Just Sayin'...
Actors are actors-it's a profession. You would hope there would be more a sense of community. Film actors who work on stage are expected to acknowledge how they are different, take a one down and express gratitude to the theatre community for being welcoming. Stage actors who work in TV and film do no such thing.
As I said before successful film actors have worked INCREDIBLY HARD to get where they are. Film careers were not handed to them and must be maintained.
Why can't they all just get along and shut up?
Have they been posting things from here on the Facebook page?
Bravo, Jordan! And I echo alliez92092's thoughts.
Nothing else to add. <3
Jordan, I think you should post that on the Facebook page. Well put.
I removed myself from that hateful group.
You can always join, post, and leave!
I am still signed up but haven't posted recently. My posts have not been in support of the group. Plus I just wanted to keep up with what was going on and it was easier to stay signed up and read stuff when it hit my page or I get a notification.
Nah. I'm not in the mood to deal with those bitchy people right now. I'm much happier dealing with you bitchy people here. :)
If someone else wants to, go for it.
Preach!
degrassifan, this is what Sieber wrote:
"Here's the deal....when you receive an award that is purchased for you...does it mean anything?! CZJ?! A big booooooooooo! But,congrats to the other winners....
June 13 at 8:26pm via Facebook for iPhone"
P.S. Yes, TWO OF A KIND originally aired on ABC, specifically TGIF. Later it was rerun on ABC Family.
Sieber was also on that short-lived gay sitcom with Harriet Harris. That is just a mean post Mr. Sieber.
How does one buy a Tony? If such is the case, I think the Pinkett-Smiths have more money than CZJ and Fela! won little to nothing.
Oh, Jordan do you have link to that Patterson blog, I cant find it and I'd love to read her thoughts.

Can anyone explain the "purchased for you" reference? I know it been stated by others...but to what point?
And once again....how nice of people thinking that the internet gives them license to be rude and disrespectful to others. Lovely that it took something like this to give them the opportunity to have their true colors show through.
But I agree with the basic sentiment! Grow up people.

Thanks StageManager2!
Wow...i'm shocked he would even write something like that.
Thank you Jordan. I've been disgusted by the snobbery and elitism these actors have displayed.
