Well my little comparison to Alice Ripley certainly pushed Hunter's buttons. I mean he is right, but still. I really should leave this group, it just makes me so angry. I think I'm just most disappointed in the fact that these were actors I really looked up to and now I've lost a lot of respect for them.
I really hate him.
Hunter Foster First of all, to compare my personal feelings towards Catherine Zeta Jones' performance to Alice's use of the word fag is a bit ridiculous. Fag is a derogatory comment. Not liking someone's performance is an opinion. It was deleted because if was not meant to be public. My press people made me aware that it had been lifted and spread on the chat rooms. And Broadway World also said they don't condone things like that on their sites and had it deleted.
I have said repeatedly, that I have no problem with CZJ or Scarlett Johansson winning their Tony Awards. I didn't see any of their performances, so how could I possibly judge whether they deserved them or not. I stand by my opinion of CZJ, and the actions that were taken to correct that opinion. It is regrettable that something not meant to be public was printed,. I guess that means we all have to watch what we say on any internet site. And that includes this one
So, I would ask that all the bickering and negativity to end now. This shouldn't be about me or Meredith or Jen or Chris, but the issue at hand. I look forward to a more positive dialogue.

It takes every ounce of self control I can muster not to join this ridiculous facebook group. People are nuts.

Calling Ric Romero!
If you don't know what I'm talking about

woooh did i just get name checked, thats awesome lol
Patty Lupone? PATTY LUPONE?!
I don't understand people who think that just because it's on a friend's page or your page means it's private*...it's the internet. Someone's gonna see it eventually.

Did Hunter just say "Patty LuPone"?
Oh, what's the use? Any attempt at humor is lost in that group, it's too volatile. I posted a "tongue and cheek" comment about the internet and came back to a four paragraph rant from Hunter.

Exactly.
Also, I wonder if Sutton is embarrassed by all of this? How could she not be?
Did Hunter just say "Patty LuPone"?
Not even! He said "Patty Lupone."
Dragging Sutton into this, who has gotten paychecks from Law & Order: SVU and Flight of The Conchords, along with 'Patty Lupone' while making a cross-reference to the fact that Sutton will be starring in the Anything Goes revival, all in one sentence. Bravo, Hunter. Wowsers.
I think dragging Sutton into it at all is pretty low. Regardless of whether or not she agrees with him, he's pulling her into an obviously heated argument. Seems unfair to me.
I thought making the argument about Jennifer Cody's red carpet obsession was unnecessary from the beginning. They were unprofessional and petty enough in their reaction to the wins (and later pretending their initial reactions never happened) to call them out on; there was no need to dig for supposed-precedence.
I guess at least Hunter admitted he made mistakes? Even if he is simultaneously deleting all evidence of them on the group and misleading people as to what those mistakes were. At the very least, he can't pull a Meredith Patterson and pretend he never said it now that he knows there's pictorial evidence of his comments.
Why do I have the feeling "Billy Smith" will soon become the sole administrator of the group and any association with Hunter Foster and Jen Cody will magically disappear?
The thing is, Cody had allegedly made comments on her Facebook about not being able to walk the red carpet.
I know, I just think it's a mistake on "our" part to make Jennifer Cody's red carpet envy out to be the main motivation for the group, instead of the fact that they're just jealous and immature for thinking Hollywood stars stole "their" Tonys.
I don't even LIKE Sutton Foster but its not fair to her that her idiotic brother just dragged her into this with his remarks about her hopes and dreams whilst watching "Patty Lupone." Her silence clearly indicated she had no interest in this disaster (because she's obviously smarter than these morons). Once again, he and his gang prove themselves to idiotic.
Hunter just keeps digging the hole deeper and deeper. He would do himself and others a huge favor by deleting the "Take back the Tonys" Facebook page. I used to like Hunter, Jenn and Meredith, but look at them differently now. I wonder how many people in the industry they alienated by their antics?
Not to mention he also drags Levi Kreis into this as well, sharing personal information about him. What crust! Hunter is a piece of work alright.
Oh and for the record, my goddaugther was inspired by seeing Scarlett and CZJ on the Tonys. It really excited her and made her want to act on a stage as well. It's not like she would have had a better experience if she saw someone else. She was also inspired when she saw Chita Rivera in "The Dancer's Life." There is room for everyone.
He wants everyone to be nice now. He really means it!

The elephant in the room being that unless any of these yahoos have pull with CBS or the American Theatre Wing, I can't imagine what they hope to accomplish, except saying "it should move to PBS!" or "It should be shown in a cinema!"
I think some things can be done to make some changes to the Tony Awards and i think if the group takes a more positive spin then its possible. Just simple things like getting stuff like the Lifetime Achievment Award bvack on the air as well as the best book etc, no major things to CBS just stuff which they need to be made aware of.
I have wondered all along what Sutton was thinking about all this -
I really dont think its important
Wait. Wait. Wait.
He didn't see Cathy Jones' performance? In A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC? And felt comfortable making a comment on Siebr's (sic) wall about her performance?
Did Jen Cody see it? Didn't she mention that she was a Tony voter?
I'm absolutely gobsmacked by all of this.
And I'm sorry...but if Ryan Seacrest isn't hosting, then it's not a real red carpet. I mean...ROMA TORRE? ANYONE IS UPSET THAT THEY DIDN'T GET INTERVIEWED BY ROMA TORRE???
I mean...did anyone from the Tonys get their picture in US WEEKLY? Anyone??? How is this a thing???
