I'll be there on 12/2 and will happily report back.
I'm very excited about it, and have been hearing wonderful reports from someone I know who is involved with the production.

Your all in for quite the treat. We were asked not to talk about it till after tonight. But I can tell you I was soaked to the bone and freezing in that theater..on top of being jet lagged....but I can't wait to go again and watch it next week with a full house.
sethleaf2, you are biased, not bias. Bias is a noun.
Stupid English...
Thanks.
Fiddler on the Roof will start it's first preview soon, can't wait to hear the first responses.
Live: "If I were A Rich Man"
For the people who saw the first preview, any thoughts?
That's true, didn't Bartlett Sher's revival of South Pacific run long too?
The first preview of THE KING AND I was 3 hours and 20 minutes, lol.
Wow I can't believe I almost forgot about that. Thanks Ijay.

i have tickets for monday night and got an email today from Telecharge saying that the show wasn't going to start until 8:30pm that night
I've never heard of this happening before (um, yeah, it wouldn't be Tradition) - any sense of why they would hold the curtain by 30min four days in advance?
Maybe one of the actors can't make the show at 8 due to some other commitment?

What the hell is that photo? Is that supposed to be Fiddler? what the hell.
I guess they're just recycling the Doctor Zhivago scenery.
To me it says... soundstage?
I guess it must be the Russian wasteland after everyone has left.
