It looks like Ryan will be joining the Broadway cast in May. Alternate?

Carvens Lissaint just announced he's leaving the Broadway company and joining the 1st touring company as George Washington. So Ryan could be replacing him...
Hamilton casting is an enigma to me. Just on social media, it seems like they have at least 2 principals out every performance. Casting people we've never heard of (which, of course, could always be delightful). When I saw the B'way company in Dec. 2016, it felt like everyone but Lawson and Munoz was phoning their performances in.
To be fair Gregory has been the longest running Burr to date for Chicago. Wonder who is replacement will be. Someone new or someone who has already done the show.

I think they should adopt a Wicked-style casting system, in that every principal is on a 9-month to a year-long contracts and they leave after that contract, no extension. Wicked principals never extend beyond their first contract because they don't have the option to. I think with major principal roles they need to have some turnover if they want the real fans to keep coming back.
I know it's still a big tourist show and tourists know nothing about the cast of Hamilton before they show up, but they need to keep it fresh and keep people who are in the know coming back.

She is not going to leave. Doesn’t everyone remember how long she was in In the Heights? If she’s offered an extension she’s going to take it. Hamilton might as well be a government job.
To everyone saying that she was in ITH forever, according to IBDB, she stayed in the show for a little less than 2 years. So it’s possible that she’ll leave Hamilton this September, as that would be around the same time. Fingers crossed

Donald Webber is going on as Burr. Hmm maybe getting ready for a Chicago run as Burr replacing Gregory Treco? If so, it would be such a loss for the Broadway cast. He is such a talent and brings great energy.

Donald Webber is on for Burr from May 11-13, and then he is leaving the company. He posted that he got a principal role in the Boston tryout of a show called Born for This.
I'm 99% sure that Ryan Vasquez is taking Webber's place as M5/James Reynolds.
