I'm pretty sure Joanna Jones (the current Peggy/Maria on Broadway) is going on for Eliza Hamilton tomorrow night! On Anthony Lee Medina's Instagram story, he says "she might be a whore tonight (referring to Maria, ha), but tomorrow she'll be playing my mother, hello, Mom!"

If all the principals are on, it will be the currently listed cast on the website - no one seems to be leaving a principal role before then.
All of the principal Peggy/Maria actresses, with the exception of the Philip tour's Nyla Sostre, cover Eliza. They just never go on unless all of the other Eliza covers are out because logistically it just makes more sense.
In case anyone was wondering tonight Andrew Chappelle is on as Aaron Burr, Lauren Boyd is on as Peggy/Maria, Hope Esterbrook is on as W3! There might be more covers on tonight but that's all I know of at the moment...
Also happy Broadway-Hamilton-debut to Ryan Vasquez, Broadway's new M5!
Chappelle’s Burr is shockingly good. I think when his personality started to shine through when he swung the roles downtown, there was no doubt he’d be a knock out Lafayette/Jefferson and Mulligan/Madison, but when I saw his Burr, I won’t deny that I was a bit speechless. Totally different type of performance. Great acting choices.
Reading through this thread, can someone illustrate for me which ensemble track does which in the show?
Like can someone line up the OBC ensemble with their respective tracks? I know the OBC girls were Carleigh, Betsy, Sasha, Ariana, and Emmy, but what order are they in regarding track number? Same for the men.
I know W5 is the non-dancing role, I believe M6 is the counterpart? Usually up on the balcony or in the background.
Andrew was an interesting Lafayette, brought an intensity and dare I say it bloodthirstiness to the role that was certainly a different (but valid) interpretation. Really not fond of his Jefferson, it pushed passed 'antics' and into 'flaming camp' and it really took away from Jefferson being menacing enough to make a credible antagonist.
I didn't care much for Chappelle's Lafayette/Jefferson. I just tried to ignore him the entire time. I don't understand how or why he is still with the show.
Ari made a surprise debut with the Philip tour last night! Anyone know what’s up with Shoba?

I caught Chappelle as Laf/Jef this past week, and while his Lafayette wasn't all that memorable (as I've found most to be, with the exception of Diggs), his Jefferson was something else! Like, flaming homosexual campy Thomas Jefferson. I personally loved it, since he milked the eccentricity and humor of the character as much as an actor could possibly do. As for keeping Jefferson as Hamilton's antagonist/foe, I still think it worked—during the rap battles and "Washington on Your Side," you could see him realizing that he had to deliberately put aside his crazy personality to go toe to toe with this punk. I thought he was excellent.
Ryan Vasquez was also on for Aaron Burr, and... HOLY CRAP. He was a REVELATION!! I'm hesitant to say that I may have even preferred his Burr over Leslie Odom, Jr.'s. He was remarkable, and I hope he gets moved up to the role full-time whenever Daniel Breaker leaves.
I caught Chappelle as Lafayette/Jefferson last year and loved his Jefferson. I appreciated that he portrayed Jefferson as unapologetically homosexual and he really played up Jefferson's quirky personality. That being said, he also played Jefferson in a very sinister way as Act 2 progressed, especially at Washington on Your Side. He wasn't afraid to play a meaner, more spiteful Jefferson, but it was always balanced out with the humor. I think Chappelle is brilliant and it's no wonder he's been with the show so long.
have to second broadway concierges enthusiastic review of ryan vasquez as burr. he has substantially improved feom when i saw him in sf in the role last summer and his acting is fantastic and vocally hes strong. he doesnt match up with josh henry who i saw many times as burr.
i agree hes better than daniel breaker who i was not impressed with.

Wait, I just thought of something. Why Ari and not Jenni Harney? That’s what Jenni Harney’s position is for. It couldn’t have been a last minute thing because I’m sure Shoba gave them notice about her brother’s graduation. Unless Jenni was on vacation. Interesting...
Ari is from California so I wonder if they just gave her a couple performances so her family could see her in the show.
