Hi!

What we're talking about at the moment is a special presale code that was offered to those who signed up a long time ago for the Hamilton newsletter (I think the newsletter was offered through the official Hamilton.com website.)  Fans were sent unique codes that they could use to buy up to four tickets before the tickets go on sale to the general public on Sunday night.

The ticket notification is a separate notification I think.

Just FYI: For ****s & giggles, I just tried my code again (I didn't use the full allotment) and it now says:

HamiltonNew Block of Tickets

So if anyone is offering or selling a code, be wary. I tried at different other times of the day and I was allowed to buy more then, so it seems like there really aren't any tickets left for those sections, because it was suppose to run until 9:59am EST on Sunday.

Firstly, congratulations to everyone who scores a ticket to Hamilton. Very exciting!

I am visiting New York from Australia in February and, without an AMEX or special code, I am going to have to try my luck trying to get one ticket through the general sale. Does anyone have some advice on the best strategy to maximise my slim chance of getting a ticket through the General sale. Should I target a date towards the end of February instead of early February. Should I go straight for rear mezz rather than being foolish trying to get a ticket in other sections? I'm kind of assuming that at best if I am very lucky I might only get one chance to connect to Tickeymaster to secure a ticket before they all sell out, so I am trying to work out the best percentage shot eg. Tuesday night, early Feb, rear mezz.

It doesn't seem as it would matter much, it's going to be tough for anyone ed lose to get tickets as there aren't many to go around left.

Good luck!

I would say that rear orchestra is your best bet. Those aren't my favorite seats, but the whole section has been held back, as far as I could see.

Also, I'm betting the Ticketmaster map function will be disabled because of volume, so if any tickets are offered to you, just take them!

Thanks for your reply. Your reply is the only one specifically addressing my question about the fan presale code that Ticketmaster seems to be accepting now, NOT, the Amex Centurion/Platinum code. I know that ship has sailed.  I will just have to hope that come 11:10 on 6/12, I have some luck.

The question is, what will RRT be charging for those seats? If they declare those "premium seats", they'll be $849 just like the rest of the orchestra. Since those seats haven't been released yet, I guess we'll find out on Sunday night!

Little Edie:  Best move is to be online when the sale starts and pick a midweek date that will be less popular.

If you can do it with a computer and a phone simultaneously you'll have a better shot in case one of them freezes up.

Question:

So I see there is  6 ticket limit order for public sale. And then an 'aggregate' 6 ticket limit for private/public sale, while the private sales seem limited to 4 (?) tickets order limit...

My question: does this mean that since Ham producers don't deem me fan enough for the 'presale' fan sale, when I log on with the masses tomorrow evening I should be prepared to pick ONE performance for 6 tickets if I want to also give to friends/family? So we all have to sit together (yuk, prefer not if gift!) Would like to - ideally - buy 3 different dates for pairs of 2. Would that be allowed under the rules? (Assuming there was ticket availability by the time I got done with one order, let alone three!!!!)

if I were you I would definitely choose six tickets for one performance, I doubt you'll have time to check out three separate times. or maybe get three pairs for one performance in different sections; orchestra for yourself and mezz for those friends that you don't want to attend with. Just try not to use the restroom at intermission, you may run into them.

So select rear/front mezz seats are going to be the only available seats released tomorrow night? It doesn't sound like many tickets were held back for public sale to begin with.. :/

I know it's been said before, but I really do wish Ticketmaster had the ability to search a range of dates, as Telecharge does.  Very stressful to have to click back and forth on different dates - not to mention I am sure there are people who put tickets in their cart, continue shopping for something better, etc. which further ties things up for everyone else.

It literally took 5 minutes and I got an aisle on Row C of the Front Mezz. You're limited up to four (4) tickets and you can only use the code once and for on performance."

Oh, no...  If you use the code to buy less than 4 tickets, you can't go back and buy more?  (Us idiots over at Reddit are asking for people to give us their codes if they've only bought 2 tickets with it...  Maybe it's different for people with codes from their platinum/centurion cards?)

You always provide such good information for Hamilton!  Thank you.  :)

Does that work (sharing the code with someone if you don't buy the full four tickets)?

Just got my tickets that were purchased when they "surprise-dropped" about a month ago.  Surprised they came so quickly considering when I bought them there was a message about delayed shipment until after August.   Glad I got them in hand!

They all say 11:10PM EST on Ticketmaster, so that seems pretty locked and loaded at this point.

A few things.  The website keeps freezing even you have a code.  I got tickets through AMEX platinum card services.  No fee, face value.  They have tickets available for presell before the general release this evening. Still took almost 30 minutes on hold but scored front Mezzanine seats for next year.

Any tips if I'm trying for the general sale tonight.  Do I have to wait until 11:10 to sign onto Ticketmaster?  Can I get "on line" earlier?  (I made that mistake when trying to get Cursed Child tickets and don't want to do it again.)

When did they arrive? Just curious, awaiting some November tickets!
