Betsy just confirmed her last show will be Oct 20th:

Great run.
Her replacement has reportedly signed an 8-month contract, and will hand off Anne for the understudies to alternate (think Sweeney before Tveit and Foster) for a few weeks before Clarkson’s stint during the show’s home stretch.
Idk why but I have a hunch that 8-month Anne is Caroline Bowman. It doesn't explain why she had to leave Frozen a week before the tour closes, but just a gut feeling.

Gives her a good break from the tour before she hops into the show. Great hunch!
Oh wow!! Now she can play Mother in Ragtime!! It’s not too late to sack Caissie Levy

I'm fairly certain its Next to Normal's transfer
Drew Gehling feels like he’ll be a great Shakespeare. For all the talk of gimmicky casting to come (which I fully believe could all still be in the works), the show has done a lovely job casting great broadway talents in the Shakespeare, Nurse, and Lance parts.
I suspect our new Romeo, Frankie, and May will all be young, fresh talent. And I’ll almost definitely be seeing the show again at least another time (to catch folks before they’re gone) or two (to see the new performers).
Just announced for the tour:
“Teal Wicks as ‘Anne Hathaway,’ Corey Mach as ‘Shakespeare,’ Nick Drake as ‘May,’ Kathryn Allison as ‘Angélique,’ Michael Canu as ‘Romeo,’ and Mateus Leite Cardoso as ‘François.’”
Also of note, Shelby Griswold is in the ensemble (which should explain why she couldn’t continue with Cats: The Jellicle Ball).

And Paul-Jordan Jansen as Lance! Terrific casting. I maintain that this year’s touring casts are above par.
For some reason I thought Teal Wicks was going to replace Betsy, so now I’m curious who that will be.
Any idea when they’ll announce replacements including the rumored ones?

No principal replacements have been hired yet, and aside from Joey Fatone, the Internet casting rumors are bonkers.
Anyone here attending Drew Gehling’s Shakespeare debut tonight?

I was at the Saturday mat, which I guess was his second performance. Before seeing this thread I actually didn't know he was that new in the role. I thought he was great.
I hadn't seen the show since a few weeks after opening. It's in very good shape and I really enjoyed it. Most of all Betsy remains an absolute delight!

I’m curious if they decided not to renew Betsy’s contract, or she chose not to. She is the heart and soul of & Juliet, and whomever replaces her has big shoes to fill.

I would love to see Jeanna de Waal as the next Anne Hathaway!

Jeanna would be fab. I know Taylor Louderman has an on/off again relationship with Broadway but I also think she'd be super funny in this part and sing the hell out of it.
The stunt casting era begins: Charli D’Amelio will make her Broadway debut in the ensemble from October 29 - January 19 only.
