I'm also reaching, but I'm hoping Betsy Wolfe is Anne/April - she hinted at her concerts last week that she was joining a show and that it would probably be announced this week. But no other details given."
The cast of the North American premiere production of & Juliet has been revealed, featuring a star-studded roster of talent likely to send Broadway fans north of the border. Rounding out the cast are ensemble members Brandon Antonio, Nico De Jesus, Nicholas Edwards, Katy Geraghty, Virgil Gadson, Bobby "Pocket" Horner, Joomin Hwang, Michael Iván Carrier, Alaina Vi T.Maderal, Daniel J. Maldonado, Joe Moeller, Brittany Nicholas, Veronica Otim, Jasmine Rafael, Matt Raffy, Tiernan Tunnicliffe, and Rachel Webb.
Great Cast listing! Hope this cast comes to Broadway if the show transfers!
The idea is to work and to experiment. Some things will be creatively successful, some things will succeed at the box office, and some things will only - which is the biggest only - teach you things that see the future. And they're probably as valuable as any of your successes. -Harold Prince
I didn't really know anything about the show until I read the Wikipedia synopsis just now. Is it treated as satire? Or do they sing all these pop songs straight?

It's very much an awesome cast. And I would even try venturing to Toronto to see them.
Looking at the current entry requirements... it looks like you upload your vaccine info in the app and cross your fingers you aren't selected for the randomized arrival testing. Has anyone flown into Toronto recently? Heh. And are there a good number of 1-day COVID testing options in Toronto for the return back to the US?

All of the above."
Sounds chaotic :) It'll be quite something if this, Britney, and Moulin Rouge are all on Bway at the same time.
I live in Toronto and have flown to and from USA several times. Never been selected for random test at airport. There are lots of places all around city for the required rapid test to fly back. Numerous drug stores offer it both with or without an appointment. (and also at the airport itself)
I would hope it’s this time next year instead of late fall. Unlike some of the other shows having tryouts this summer (Devil Wears Prada and The and The Notebook among them) this has already had a successful tryout and production, and would just need to attune for American audiences and not necessarily need full-on redevelopment like the new shows.
Mirvish Toronto website states the show is in a strictly limited engagement for 8 weeks until August 14th. It seems like it’s aiming for Broadway in the fall unless it will do another tryout someplace else.
I really hope they tighten up the book a bit (yes, jukebox musical, deaf ears, etc.). I can't think of any particular lines, but I also do think some of the dialogue will go over people's heads, as it's very London/UK-centric (as one might expect).
Personally not my cup of tea, but it'll probably print money on Broadway.

Reviews in London were lukewarm at best, according to The New York Times, and there's no guarantee it will print money in NY the way it has so far overseas. My negative side thinks & Juliet will most likely get excoriated by most Broadway critics. Will this turn people off though, or will they embrace the goofy camp like they did with Mamma Mia!?
