This is sure to be a hard hit for the Barbican…I’m sure they were already projecting those funds for future seasons. Hopefully they got some good membership numbers for those looking to get in early.

I’m sure Bailey will be a fantastic George, but he’s just not a big enough draw to justify a summer trip to London…for me at least.

Here’s hoping for great reviews and a 2027/2028 transfer.

This could turn out acceptably for the Barbican if someone else with star power, but of a lower wattage than Grande's, fills the role. With her as Dot, ticketing, prices, audience behavior, and security were all potential challenges.

Honestly this is welcomed news. I was looking forward to Jonathan Bailey, But I honestly I would love to see Samantha Barks, Laura Osnes, Caissie Levy or Hannah Waddingham in the role of Dot. I believe it could be fantastic.

And I’m sorry, because it’s been 20 years, but he and Barks had absolutely no chemistry in Last Five Years.

…that said, I’d kill to see Waddingham do this, but she’d totally overwhelm Bailey, me thinks.

It's true that this board is filled with nuts but you getting called out for your insane posts on this thread is 100% appropriate.

I would love to hear Tamika Lawrence sing "We Do Not Belong Together" and "Move On". I want to see Bailey in this more than Grande. I would see Bailey and Lawrence. Just my little dream casting.

Wishing Ariana the best. I do hope the production moves forward because I was very excited to see what Marianne Elliott would do with the show. She's the real draw for me.
