Sincerely hope everyone stays to see the exceptional Nicholas Christopher! I'm sure he's going to give a towering performance.
He was great as Burr in Hamilton. Wish I could see it!
From what I understand, Groban has a sinus infection so I would assume he may be out for a few performances.

Yes, that's what he said in his Insta story
Any cheap tickets available? There's apparently some kind of illness going around backstage. Wasn't Gaten out Tuesday? Noticed some of the swings went on this week/past weekend.
Who's playing Pirelli tonight, Raymond J. Lee or Daniel Torres?
Well let them all get sick now so they’re back and healthy for critics and opening next week!

I have tickets for tonight.
I've been in bed all day from food poisoning from the chicken I had last night. When I tried eating in the morning it all came back within 30 minutes. When I had some Sprite about Noon it came back right away. I haven't been that sick in a very long time. What didn't come out up top left from behind. I had to bail on seeing the Anthony Rapp matinee I had planned. About 4:30 I went down to the CVS on the corner for some Pepto-Bismal & Gatorade. I don't want no stories online about me crapping my pants in the theatre!
I already canceled Funny Girl tickets this week. Just showered & dressed. I feel better.
I'm going.

Gotcha. I don't do Insta or twitter so didn't see it. Just went by what was posted here.
There were a few tickets available when I looked a while ago and almost bit the bullet to see Nick. I bet he is going to be very good in the role.
Daniel Torres is Pirelli tonight.

Thank you for thinking about your fellow theatre goers and taking the precautions to not **** in the aisles!!
Nicholas Christopher is giving the performance of a lifetime. I am stunned. If you have the opportunity to see him, don't miss it. Truly a wonderful night here.

At last night’s Sweeney Todd performance, someone had a bloody nose a few seats down from us and left his bloody tissues in the aisle.
I’m very curious to hear about Nicholas Christopher. He was a terrific Pirelli and I think he could be a very good Sweeney.
Hope you feel better.

I knew he would not disappoint. I love that man!
He was quite good. Kind of made it Sexy Todd, which is hard to wrap your mind around - but he more than pulled it off.
Any word on tonight? Meant to be seeing it lol.

The Sweeney Instagram account just posted that Nicholas will be on for Sweeney tonight at 8pm and for tomorrow's 2pm performance.

I'd ask for a refund! I'm seeing Sweeney in June and it's mainly because of Josh Groban
I might stay tonight and see if there is any chance I can catch it again with Groban on Sunday (or if not just skip for now and pray he is still with the show come September). There is something interesting about seeing someone a little different in the role and the energy between the two leads under these circumstances must be quite intense.

It's astonishing that as returns pop up for SWEENEY tonight and tomorrow, Ticketmaster is STILL listing them at premium prices of $400-$500! Now THAT'S chutzpah!

Aren't ticket prices the domain of the producers?
If you have tickets this weekend KEEP them! I saw Groban last week and he was a total disappointment. I wish I had seen Nicholas instead.
Josh does not have the acting chops for this role. His Sweeney was low energy and dull and was never thrilling or exciting. I love this show and really felt he sucked the life out of it.
