FYI, Valerie Wright is on tonight as Colleen is out (for unknown reasons). Is this her debut in the role?

Victoria Clark's Instagram post from yesterday about her Kimberly journey, noting the significance of the number 80. 80 performances left for the show? for her? In any event, 10 weeks from today will be March 10.

I hear it’s closing that day and will be publicly announced sometime this next week or two.

I had the exact same thought when I saw her post.

My count is 556 regular performances at the time of closing, slightly less than Fun Home and The Band’s Visit.

If Victoria Clark takes of a show, do we know what days it is? I am planning seeing it on a Sunday night, but I tend to think that is iffy for any lead. I also want to see Bonnie as well.

How did you get that count? NYT reported 612 and my math matched up with that.

I assumed the show was closing on March 10 after Victoria hinted at the number 80 on her Instagram on December 30 (and before the closing notice was formally posted).
I’m glad it’s lasting a bit longer, though!

She doesn’t do matinees. I haven’t heard of her not doing other performances but perhaps others have more information than I do. Seeing her understudy made me appreciate again how good her performance is.

I totally did not see the date! My bad! From what I've pieced together from different people, it seems like they originally were going to replace Victoria and try to run for a while longer, then maybe they were going to close when she left in March, then they got her to extend through April and are, of course, closing then.

You said "I hear it’s closing that day and will be publicly announced sometime this next week or two."
Did you "hear" or did you "assume" it? Those are very different meanings and it's worrisome when people imply connections and then backtrack later when they're wrong to "Oh I assumed".

Victoria is off Tuesday and Sunday evenings with the new schedule ( no Wednesday matinees since new years)

I have tickets to next Tuesday, Jan 16th. Wasn't aware that Victoria was out. This will be my third time seeing it and really had hoped (and thought) she was still in it.. Didn't realize there was a new schedule I guess... Any chance they'll refund or let me move my tickets to possibly Thursday?

Thanks for the heads up.

Call Telecharge & see what they'll do for you. They always been very helpful for me. Usually you will have to purchase a new seat over the phone with the agents, and after that they will refund the original purchase. They don't do a straight exchange.

How did you know that Victoria Clark doesn’t play Tuesday nights anymore? I ask because I went to the theatre tonight and was so disappointed to see that she was out. My partner noticed it before we went in only by chance after seeing the almost hidden Understudy Board in the foyer of the box office.
I read a lot of chat lines, etc. and have never seen anything about her not playing Tuesdays. As an avid theatregoer, I like to think I stay on top of things like this. Had I known, I would have picked another date.
We got a slip from the box office with an email to use for another date that they will accommodate until March 31st.

For what it's worth, I was pleasantly surprised that Victoria was in at last Tuesday's performance (January 9th). And while I'm sure her understudies are great, her performance was what really tied the show together IMO.
No idea if there's been a schedule change since then.

She actually announced a vacation for this week on her Instagram.

We saw Colleen Fitzpatrick tonight and was just blown away. She is winsome and wonderful and we will definitely go back another Tuesday to see her again before it closes.
For fans of the material, she is a consummate pro who is equally at home with the writing as everyone else and we left so glad we saw her.

Glad to hear Ms. Clark’s Understudy is so wonderful and I’m sure she is but I paid to see the Tony Award winning performance. Nothing against Understudies at all- they work their tail off- but you can understand the disappointment. As Katharine Hepburn once said on Dick Cavett in 1973, “you have to play even if you’re sick because if you don’t, and you’re a star, it’s a terrible disappointment to the audience”.
To address another post here, if one is not on Instagram, and I’m not, how would one know about a planned vacation for a contracted player when purchasing tickets? Most times, these days, I find out about these things on chat lines like this. That is how I found out about Lindsay Mendez missing two show days for weeks. I exchanged my tickets for that show too.
